Face it we all have 'em. Knives we shouldn't like as much as we do. :D

Mine are:

the Buck Redpoint:

cheap rubber handle and stains if you look at it the wrong way but ever so fun to play around with while watching the game

The Böker Kalashnikov 101:

Oversized cheap looking handle, check, childish "automat kalashnikov" stamp, check, we could actually be looking at the ultimate backyard spec-ops-counter-terrorist blade but man is that thing fun to mess around with, chopping up bananas for a fruit salad was never this much fun

So what is/are your guilty pleasures?

My first real knife which I had for over 10 years before upgrading.

Its CRKT Doolittle. Smallish blade and half serrated (never again). Pivot doubles as single pocket clip screw. Metal handle is very soft. The last two allow the pocket clip to change position and fall out of my pocket. I've misplaced this knife more times than I care to recall. Liner lock is too accessible and easy to accidentally close on fingers. The list goes on. I don't carry it very often and only when changing oil or doing electrical. In other words, I only use it when I don't want to use a better knife. On the plus side, I like the looks of the knife and the blade shape is perfect for my EDC needs.

They're a little big, a bit gaudy and impractical , but I love them

I have this same knife and I have had for at least 10-15 years and have beat the hell out of it. Put it away about 10 years ago because the clip broke(and apparently crkt doesnt have a replacement for it) but I just had it out the other day and said to my wife "this is a sweet little knife".

Mine is a Mantis Pit Boss, seems many Many people everywhere dislike Mantis. I have also heard that the s60v supposedly used for the blade does not exist anymore.

However this knife takes a wicked edge, and has been one of my most used blades when working on my house. I have used it for everything like cutting carpet, shingle felt, and drywall. In fact it is the only blade in my drawer that my Fiancee will grab when she is looking to do some heavy cutting.

In short I don't care what anyone says about the Pit Boss, I will never let it leave my collection of users.

Any of my huge Cold Steel folders, I've got an old VG-1 Vaquero Grande, a Talwar XL and two XL Voyagers.

It was dirt cheap, the blade is single sided, and I have since added a nice, big, blue, gaudy, pseudo-wave zip-tie, but I adore my Byrd Cara Cara 2(at least until my Endura 4 arrives)

Cold Steel Mini AK-47.
I didn't used to see it as a "guilty" pleasure. I used to think it was the best thing ever.
I now HATE the blade steel, but it's still rock solid and strong.
And very easy to disassemble.

Bought the Tenacious to prove nothing from China is good. It taught me a lesson! Should have known if Spyderco name was on it it would rock. Not up to the level of the Golden, Taiwan or Japan made but a good knife in its own right. None the less I'll stick to Golden made from now on.
