The guy who always has a knife!

I've run across a lot of city folks that seem to expect me to act like this just because I have an EDC.
This is why I'm very low key about using it and if I'm around too many cactus huggers I'll just use a key and mangle my way through something just to avoid the accusatory glares.
They feel safe if I grab a 12" kitchen knife but associate pocket knives with psychos.
Sigh...

I'm a much less extreme version of that knife guy. Well less extreme in my eyes at least, maybe not my wife's.

I laughed because I've actually found myself needing to back off with my now near
instinctive knife deployment. Never been as wound up as that guy but I think a bit
to close for even my comfort level. :( I no longer volunteer among my friends;
they know I have a sharp knife if they need it. :D

It became funny years ago at our large Christmas gatherings when it was time to open gifts that "Stu has a knife" to open boxes. Whatever knife I had on me was the pass around everyone used to open their packages. And, it did start to be a running joke year after year that I was the one with a very sharp medium size folder everyone used.

My wife said I was “almost as bad” as the guy in the video. Har har. :p

When she followed that up by saying “you know that nobody gives a $h!t when you get a new knife, right?” my tears started flowing and divorce plans began. Such hurtful words from my lovely bride of 23 years. ;):D

If that was a gun, the guy would probably shoot himself or one of his friends. Yes, there are idiots who act this way.

Overly enthusiastic knife guy? If anybody needs a knife in my neck of the woods there's usually at least 10 guys reaching in their pockets. :D God bless Texas.

At my family gatherings everybody knows where to find a sharp knife. I don't volunteer it, but I don't need to.

Molokai - dead on, man.

G'wad!
Its a terrifying and an equally thought provoking video.
What a shining example of severe psychological dependence!
Real life copy cats must be replaying this inspiring video for sure :)

I have become exactly the opposite especially at work. We are tradesmen you should have a knife. Goes something like this .
Them... can I use your knife?
Me... no where is your knife?
Them....I don't have one .
Me ..why not?
Them. I don't need to carry a knife
Me . Them why do you need to borrow mine? :D
then I get will you sharpen my knife?
I will teach you how
It might be different if they weren't tradesmen

When someone needs a knife I usually gotta cut it for them myself. I generally can't stand handing my knife to someone else to use. Could've just wiped their ass without washing or could potentially misuse it for prying or cutting something stupid.

Lol...
That guys' gonna plum hurt himself...better he starts out
with a mini, dare I say 'jarbenza'(?)
:p

Cheer up...What does 'she' know,
'We' care.
