Haven't cut myself in a good long while, but just the other day I was sharpening a bunch of knives, and somehow cut myself down the entire length of my thumb with my TuffLite. Didn't get any pictures, but there was a lot of blood, I can promise that.

I did this same thing with a ZT 0566. Came down like a Guillotine. It bled for days.

This is a machinist injury. The horizontal scar is the injury. The vertical scars up on the left and down in the right, were from where the surgeon had to cut my hand open to access the tendon and nerve damage.

Lucky for me there was none. "Millimeters away from high priced real estate." Meaning I could have a hand that doesn't work.

I've got a couple photos of the actual wound. I'll see if I can rustle em up.

The first photo I got when I chopped off thick stalks of grass with a large knife and touched the tip on my leg. The second was when I polished the opinel blade for future etching on the grinder and it flew into my leg

This isn't a knife wound, nor is it my picture, but it's been circulating FB and I thought it belonged here...

A good reminder why never to reach into anything to unjam it, in this case it was reported to be a paper shredder;


But with all this snow among us here on the east coast, its a great reminder to apply to snow blower as well, as those will actually take off some fingers!
