The Hinderer Herds Hogs

Promised my mom when I was like 6 I would never ride one. Turning 39 this week and still keeping that promise. There are some dang sexy bikes out there though.

Nice toys...the links go to your bucket.

Thanks, Need2know, this is the first time I tried it from my iPad and was actually surprised they appeared at all.

I will use your advice in the future.

Soooooo, obviously not mine, but if I ever did get a motorcycle, it would be this one!!!

Is that a nightster? I actually test drove one last year. It was unbelievable. I want to wait for my kids to get a little older before I get another bike though. For now I'll stick to spending all of my money on hinderer stuff.

Not sure what it is. There is a guy around here that drives one and it has a few red accents. Just sick looking.

On my last deployment I was considering getting a Night Rod if I didn't get the Alaska assignment and had to stay stationed in HI. It would have been fun there but not as practical here.

Simply fund an account to buy the bike once your geography allows...be it just a down payment or full amount.

@Duc, that yellow one's a Monster? Thought those were pretty neat several years ago but never pulled the trigger.

Just imagining leaning over the tanks of some those sporter's is making my back ache :)

Good call, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on perspective) I'm most likely in AK for good except for deployments or TDYs. On the other hand, my security team lead from my most recent deployment dabbles in selling HDs and I might hit him up if I can get a good enough deal. The summers, while short, have good riding weather - when the sun's out it is awesome, beautiful but not too hot. But, a bike is pretty low on the priority list - my wife would rather the funds go into a boat, it's hard to argue that :)

Yeah, an S2R monster, hence my user name. Has a single sided swing arm. Cool bike, and reasonable price, but it needed a lot of work to bring out what it should be, basically I replaced the shocks, exhaust, cut off a lot of extraneous stuff added new bars, complete racing Brembo brake system, new linkage, bars, pegs. In fact I think the only thing that is still stock is the engine and frame, at least the parts I did not cut off :-).

Obviously I love to work on bikes and my son is the same. He completely disassembled the engine on his 749 last winter and blueprinted it. Like I said I am afraid to ride it!

And thanks for the nice comments above. Wish I had more time to ride!

I had a Nightster, fun cruiser, but too slow for me, and way to easy to scrape the pegs/exhaust/kickstand!

The three hogs I used to have, '02 Sportster Sport, '03 VRod, '08 Nightster.

And DPRICHARD, thanks for correcting my links. Tried to send a PM but this IPad just doesn't seem to give me as many options as my PC.
