Right - saturday evening, had a few cold ones and sitting here in front of my computer. Making a Google search and - yeah, you basic nuts, guess that you have done the same thing and what shows on the screen; Busse knives (basics, yeah), other kind of Busses and busses (on wheels) , a cat:confused:, people: females, men and children and a muslim terrrorist who actually
is living right here in the same country as me:thumbdn:, but no Basic 8... What i`m trying to say???

Bring that darn thing before everybody is turning nuts!!!!!!!!

I smell corn... and it's very tempting B8.

Since I have yet to see pics of it or hear anyone talk about this particular model, someone who was at Blade please fill me in.

How big is the choil and how does it feel in hand compared to a Basic 11.

I have a feeling this is going to be the only knife that will usurp the SAR 6 for me as the go to blade. I came to this realization after obtaining a Battle rat and found myself wishing for the same knife just a hair shorter and in INFI. I even debated shortening a B11 down to between 8 - 8.5 inches on my own but thought better of it.

I haven't been around here for a couple months, due to being very busy with the snow gone and really not liking the new BF layout. However, this model really got my attention when I saw it in Jerry's list of new models. I suspect it is the new grail that is currently being overlooked with the excitement of all the other new offerings... I'll take it!

Well, here's a pic

In order, B-10, B-8, B-6, and B-4

:D

The B-4 is AWESOME!

^^^ Good point!

Nice to see you posting in here, Tim. :D

What he said. Welcome back!

A BIG +1 to that!^^^^:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks guys! Certain things can definitely get a piglet sniffing around the trough again. Since there really hasn't been much of anything new that called out to me I have not bought many new blades from the shop for the past year and a half, but the HOG B8 could and would definitely change that. I have no idea why it has been "overlooked" for so long:confused:, but it has been a highly anticipated blade for going on 4 years now as my quotes above from this 2011 thread indicate.

To me the Basic-8 will be the perfect Busse knife and my guess goes that it will be that too, to a lot of other Hogs, so Jerry, lets go on with it and bring us that perfect Busse knife - Why not?

Our tastes have often run to the same blades over the years, and this is a prime example. I actually contemplated having a B10 cut down--very similar thinking.

I bumped your original thread to show how interest has grown in this blade--many, many others have come to share this view, obviously.

Hopefully, this recent announcement is it!

I was just thinking...if the announcement doesn't come for a while, it looks like we all took the B8 again. Maybe Jerry's just conditioning us to keep coming back to the beight pile.:D

Please release the B8, I am sick of hearing nothing but talk of the B8, the B8, the B8. I'm over it already.....
