I asked Mark Condos (Condos Leather) to make a trim, lightweight sheath for my custom clip-point B7.5
, with friction retention only (no straps), high-ride with the handle face riding right at the top of the belt. I wanted something I could wear on my pants belt at cross draw, underneath my pack belt, with the rig partially hidden/obscured by the pack belt but easily and quickly accessible. Here's his pic of the completed package--shipping to me tomorrow:
I was concerned that a standard fold-over belt loop integral to the back of the sheath would make the handle tend not to seat flush with the sheath mouth, so Mark cut a couple of very clean, shallow notches at the back of the sheath mouth on either side of the belt loop to let it fold over just at/below the face of the handle. Here's the back of the sheath:
