Nice pics!

Alas, my Dad had already carved the bird by the time we arrived. He smoked it the day before, it was delicious :)

Well... No bears 2 days in a row, but I'm heading back out tomorrow morning. Hope I bump into him on a trail he's frequenting.

Oh and.... BUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuMP! :D

Basic 8 is such a cool knife. No regrets on this one. What was the price of em at the time -- anyone remember? Great deal, if I recall.

I asked myself this question recently, so here is what I found for the B8 LE:

1) Busse Combat Limited Edition Basic 8

Blade Length: 8”
Blade Thickness: .220”
Overall Length: 13”
Grind: Convex/ Zero Edge
Steel: INFI
Hardness: 58-60Rc
Blade Finish: Satin
Handle: Your choice of Tan Resiprene C or Black Resiprene C
Limited Edition Serial Numbered

Weight: Approx 14.3 oz

Price $ 327

If any Busse is a bargain at $327, it's the Basic 8 -- great, great knife. The ASH-2 has big shoes to fill. Just tell us Garth, which is better? :D
