Man SH-e2 is a tempting blade!!! Sooooo close to the blade profile of the HOGB8 we want. In fact, had it come in a choiless version, I'd probably have said, "that's close enough" and likely would have been ordering one today!!! (see mock-up of the CAD photo Jerry provided below)



Grind the pommel down even with the scales and you BASICally have the SABER HOGB8.:thumbup:

I KNOW I'm going to be at the Busse site more than once today with a SH-e2 sitting in my cart just to have a reason to say, "Hang-ON, SHe's coming with me!" as I grab this knife on the way out the door for our next adventure!!!

The SHe is tempting, no doubt, but I have to say that the Basic 8 is still a price and performance leader, especially with its Satin blade.

I hear ya Timmy. I traded straight across a NMFBM for an early Tan/Tan Battle Rat and although some would say fiscally it was an insane trade... Performance and Comfort wise... I feel I got the MUCH better end of the deal. I had what he wanted and he had what I wanted. I don't regret that trade one bit!

Good luck on the search... They aren't that rare, so a B9 will pop up eventually.:thumbup:
