What's this about? Oh yeah! The B8! :D

I`m all ears :D

All right then...

At any blade thickness up to .25”, the Basic 8 should weigh 14 ounces or less, which is lighter than a Skinny ASH1, a TG Light Brigade or a SARGE 7, but with a longer, stronger blade. It will be CONSIDERABLY lighter than any other full-tang Busse in its size class. At .275” thickness (haven’t forgotten you, Stump Buster), it would likely rank weight-wise with the Light Brigade 7” class knives but with a much stronger blade than ANYTHING in its size class short of a CG ASH1 or Sledgehammer, which are shorter and much heavier.

In any configuration, it should be long enough with enough forward balance for efficient chopping/batonning, but not so long that point work becomes unwieldy.

With the Resiprene-C handle, naturally it will have the best of Busse ergonomics, with insulation from cold, vibration and electrical shock.

The Basic 8 will be compact enough to wear regularly on belt or to carry in most packs without creating a bulge or a diagonal “bend” problem, but large enough to depend on in a true one-knife survival situation. Paired with a stout folder, it should be capable of performing every blade-related task one would encounter during an extended expedition. It also offers enough length to give distance between its wielder and any potential attacker, man or beast, to avoid injury while defending oneself or others.

This knife truly fits that most-demanding-of-all mold of one-knife-does-all, and may well perform as well as or better in that role than anything else currently on the market.

THIS is THE Busse Combat Limited Edition Basic 8.

I mean…YEAH, baby!

I am speechless, do not know what to say - this is my dream knife you're talking about now and I'm quite sure that this will be one of the very besst knives from Busse ever. Will: I'm sure you could qualify for a job in Busse's advertising department ... are you absolutely sure that you do not have shares in Busse Combat?

Thank you for your generous reply, brother. I must confess I am heavily invested in Busse Combat Knife Company, but my "share" is strictly in the form of precious metal. :)

Will, it would seem that you have just written the ad copy for Jerry. That knife will practically sell itself now!

How could Jerry NOT release such an amazing blade? Think of all the money he would be leaving on the table.

When I shared my dilemma the other day, not one of you responded with the proper Hog answer of "Buy Both!"

Thanks for looking out for me My Friend!!!

Now about these B8 Piles we need to get set out all over the country for the poor needy & starving HOGS...

Mr. Busse... Any chance we can get these porkers fed, caught and turned into Bacon (especially after their spouses see the credit card bill)?!?!?!?

Mmmmm...did somebody say BACON!!!

I'm sorry I lost my train of thought for a moment. I think I need to get a HAM sandwich to help me remember what I was asking.

I'll be back after I remember, but I'm sure something IMPORTANT was mentioned a couple posts above this one.

You know why the Vikings left their homes to sail wide open oceans? They were looking for a Basic 8!!!!! It's time to end this search :)
