Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum. I own several blades from different makers but never a Busse. I ordered Heavy Ordinance Grade Eight blade in satin with long clip and penetrator point. Just saw the Silent Knight blade and really like it. Am I gonna wish I had waited for this one or will I be satisfied with the HOG8 ?

Cap'n... What tasks do you want the knife for? They will both cut, but one is a comfy handled FULL ON-BRUTE UTILITY-ALL AROUND cutter and the other one looks more like an indestructible Fantasy blade. I think as a general user, the EIGHT will make you happy, but if you like a little WOWZA BLING BLING in your blades, the Silent Knight smokes the HOG B8 in that category.

I'll be the first to tell ya to just buy both and sell the one you don't prefer (If you can swing it). (ETA: That Danged WILL YORK Guy IS FAST!!!)

I may be just a LITTLE teeny tiny bit biased, but I hope this helped ease some of your concerns.

Thanks guys! Appreciate all the help! Yeah, what have I got myself into! I ordered the HOGB8 instead of a tomahawk from RMJ (maybe in the future). I own several blades from Zombie Tools and ESEE, blade from Zero Tolerance, Bastinelli, Frank Gonzales, Spyderco, Benchmade, etc. I just spent a lot of money at the 2017 Blade Show in Atlanta. Peace in the home is very important (Can I get an Amen). Most of the Blades I have purchased have been from a defensive/ tactical driven purpose, my ESEE 5 is job related at the Fire Department. Anyway, thanks again!
