And you can have that. Just not in a Basic. The Res C handle DEFINES the Basic series. As Will pointed out, there are several fine choices in the same size range, that can have micarta scales. Many folk like the NMSFNO, whereas I prefer the FSH handle. The MoJo/MoFo are absolutely underated, but maybe recurves aren't your thing. Many choices in the Busse Universe.

There have been the occasional Basics that were modded to other handle materials.
