In on two. I'm sitting here waiting to pick up my daughter at midnight from her first "Date" dance at school... Its 8:11 now.... The last thing I told the dude was, take care of my daughter, he shook my hand and said yes sir! And as I was driving away I did the "I got my eye on you" gesture and drove off... BTW I had my black Beckerhead shirt on..

Hey JD, How did things go with your daughter? Mine got home at 1245. That's 45 minutes past her curfew so we'll talk about it in the morning.
 
45 minutes late would be 45 reasons to choke a teenage boy.

I dread the day mine talks about going to a dance or out with a boy.

How old are yalls daughters?
 
Mine is 15. She turns 16 next week. She kinda snuck this one past me. She's in a school play that was supposed to be from 5:30 til 9:30 but she called at 7 and said a bunch of the girls wanted to go to IHOP afterward. So my wife and I decided midnight was a good time to be home. I asked her to call me when she got home and she did; I'm at work. That's how I know what time she got home. Anyway she's a good girl, as far as I know, and I trust her to a point but if I see one hickey she'll be grounded til she goes off to college.

LOL!!

I just typed out a 4 paragraph NOVEL on this subject of daughters dating then decided to erase it all. Lets just say i feel strongly on the subject and plan to keep a good eye on my daughter until she graduates high school.

Seems like we need to put the fear of God into some teenagers. Maybe we can put together a makeshift A-team of Beckerheads and we'll go on tour. Imagine this scene but with, like, 50 guys.

Yeah, I constantly remind my sons that they have to watch my daughter for me ;) She's only 2 right now, but she is too much like her mother! So I know she will be trouble. I don't want to say what the wife and I were doing at 15 :rolleyes: I'll need all the extra eyes I can get.
 
This snark page sure as hell is snarky. A tad cringeworthy too, but that might be just me, no offense fellas.
On a different note, my week of leave at work is ending today. Not really looking forward to tomorrow, but holiday season isn't that far away anyhow.
 
Well, I live and work in America so I'm afraid that I don't know anything about this holiday season of which you speak. Unless you mean that time of year when I work overtime if I can get it and a second job so I can afford to pay for all the stuff that I'm expected to buy and give unto others. :thumbdn:
I really do like Christmas and the fall / winter seasons. But I haven't had a whole week off from work, not counting hospitalization and rehabilitation, in 4 or 5 years. Guess that's what I get for being born on this side of the Atlantic. Well that and the right to own as many guns as I want and carry one in my car and another in my pocket pretty much all day every day. Ya it's still pretty great on this side of the pond! :thumbup:
