Thats the only thing I would change around here....I want a CCW program up here.

Well, I live and work in America so I'm afraid that I don't know anything about this holiday season of which you speak. Unless you mean that time of year when I work overtime if I can get it and a second job so I can afford to pay for all the stuff that I'm expected to buy and give unto others. :thumbdn:
I really do like Christmas and the fall / winter seasons. But I haven't had a whole week off from work, not counting hospitalization and rehabilitation, in 4 or 5 years. Guess that's what I get for being born on this side of the Atlantic. Well that and the right to own as many guns as I want and carry one in my car and another in my pocket pretty much all day every day. Ya it's still pretty great on this side of the pond!
I dunno what kind of life YOU are living, but my one job and taking only one over time assignment a week is pretty nice. i do quite enjoy getting 12 holidays off a year and having from the day before christmas till jan 2nd off work.

Well, OK then... I was only saying that I enjoyed being home for a week and that I'm looking forward to Christmas. Didn't know that would stirr up so many emotions.
I'm really sorry you haven't had the opportunity to take some time off, and on the opposite side I'm really glad for you that you can own your guns

Now, I'll go out and enjoy my pellet gun, lol.

Welcome to the forum!

First post is in the snark thread and has links..... In this thread anything is possible. Im feeling a little adventurous so ill take a shot and then decide weather to proceed or not

:D
Thank you. With the Snark you also can get closer to the topic of this forum.

077 The Beaver’s best course was, no doubt, to procure
078 A second-hand dagger-proof coat—
079 So the Baker advised it— and next, to insure
080 Its life in some Office of note:

273 The Boots and the Broker were sharpening a spade—
274 Each working the grindstone in turn:
275 But the Beaver went on making lace, and displayed
276 No interest in the concern:

And there are blades too:

In on three, hurray for me.

You guys with daughters, I feel for ya. My two daughters are out of the house and on their own now but the years 15-20 were 'fun'.

People who read poetry in public may have other nasty habits.
Robert Heinlien quote? Seems familiar.....

As for the rest of you with daughters. .....I have two, no sons, and I plan on letting them go out into the world as it is. Teenage boys are usually NOT the problem in my experience, because it's the girls who mature earlier. I had more than a couple girlfriends who got ME into trouble with their dads. Not saying there aren't boys who are bad news, but you all grew up into respected family men (right?) so I am trying instead to cultivate a good relationship with my girls so they can trust me and I, in turn, can trust them. They'll grow up regardless, and I'd rather they not remember their teen years as constant conflict with me.

But I'll still probably belt carry the 9 for the first few dates ;).

Totally agree. That said, gonna watch LOTR now. Again.

Now I have another reason to buy a 9. My daughter is 4 months old now and I must protect her from the man child! Possibly after Christmas, have a 4 and 5 coming I think so those should help for now  ...

I picked went to pick them up at 11:30, they didn't get out till midnight. I dropped the boys off first and my daughter and her friend off at her friends house for sleep over...

Gshark - sorry about my rant earlier. Just a crappy day/night at work and some things at home. So I apologize for the tone and in truth I hope you enjoyed your time off and get to spend your holidays with your family and friends.

I don't know how I keep getting further and further away from the first page. Lousy timing I guess.

Probably should first shoot the movie so it will fit on screens that don't have a portrait mode.....;). I have to admit that I skipped through some of it, but that big thump at the end was pretty cool. I could feel the ground shake. Then the shout of "timber!" cracked me up

as you noticed, it was mostly for the sounds and last few minutes...

yes, i cracked myself up on that one

Fella's how it going? Feeling the heat here down under already, although it's only spring we hit 42 degrees Celsius (107.6 degrees Fahrenheit) so I am not looking forward to the official start of summer in a few weeks. We've had F/A-18's and Blackhawks flying over our suburb (literally right over our house) for the past week, but with the G20 over it should be back to normal.

So, it started to snow here (and sort of stick)

It's so pretty! I can't wait for winter for real! But as such, I decided it was a good time to make chili!!!!

I didn't do the Rockcastle chili, just cause my mom complains it's too spicy and my sister complains it's too fatty when I make it (personally I think they are both crazy!) I instead I did my old standby chili. Still yummy, but it's more beans, and it's ground beef instead of steak, and it's got andouille in it as well. Then for my bowl I just dress it up with some tobasco and sriaccha, and some sour cream and some cheese... This is slightly soupier than usual as well, but I wanted to make sure there was enough for EVERYONE and I'm letting it simmer (covered) for a good 4-5 hours (for that extra nom-nom-nom-ness). So it should be lovely!

Teenage boys are usually NOT the problem in my experience,

You must live in a great fantasy place. Let me know if there is any more room and ill join you :D

I was having sex regularly at 14. And trying to talk every girl into it within 100 yards of me.

I was, what i now fear.

I picked went to pick them up at 11:30, they didn't get out till midnight. I dropped the boys off first and my daughter and her friend off at her friends house for sleep over...

My buddy, Smart man!!

Did you turn her phone into a bug and set up game camera in the front and back of the "friends" house, then pour sugar sand on the ground near all windows so you could check footprints the next day??

I have a whole book of plans for mine.
