It's pine timber land. And being in the big thicket of East Texas you've got to be pretty committed to exploring it. It's not a hard wood established forest. It's a thicket. Imagine almost no easy single step without cutting your pathway unless it's wet and marshy
A fair amount of Devil's Walking Stick

Plus it's not the least bit level.
But, it is full of pine trees and the weather will be coolish. So, it might be a good time for some exploration or just sitting out and looking for a deer to come by that I can ultimately turn into sausage and put into the freezer - unless it's the MIL's favorite deer.
