Pretty sweet wood working there WW, look a hell of a lot better than that wooden Christmas tree ornament you made for the Becker challenge a couple of years ago. :D

Hmm... any medication that makes you have to eat unhealthy sure would make me worry.

I hate brussel sprouts. They taste like farts. And I like asparagus and broccoli, so you know the 'sprouts must be pretty bad. ;)
However I HAVE had really good brussel sprout 'slaw. Not sure what else was in it. Probably carrots and bacon.
Usually I don't love them either, but glazed with maple syrup and bacon then roasted, they're pretty damned tasty. Brussel sprouts, that is.....I can never get the farts to cook evenly plus they're a bitch to skin, even to save a nickel.

Damn you got into some bad brussel sprouts if they tasted like farts... That or you have tasted some good farts :D
My youngest has conjectured that if hard boiled eggs smell like farts, then that's what farts might taste like.
And its finished!

Yay, WW's dad! Please pass along some oohs and aahs for me.

Sweet looking wood work WW.

If we were all judged today based on what we did a few years ago... yikes.

I'm looking forward to the long weekend coming up. Aside from heading up to the in-laws tomorrow and headed out to see them light up downtown Indy on Friday, we have a fairly open weekend. It might be a nice one to get caught up on being lazy.

I also don't know about you folks, but I have an awful hankering for a M-18.... I might have to work on that one after the holidays.

Yah. Ours is so white that I decided not to drive north to my folks house as they lowered the speed limit to 45 on the Maine Turnpike. 110 miles is a long way to go at that pace....and in that kind of weather. 'Sposed to taper off tonight and be sunny tomorrow. Perfect night to head up to KTP to get my soon to be 10 year old's birthday present. Store was pretty deserted and the very nice man and I talked about blacksmithing (his day job), knifemaking and such while he installed some stuff on her new bow (nice PSE Razorback jr., 15# draw). Pretty interesting conversation; he showed me some locally made knives (file knives, they looked fantastic) and I showed him pics of my 7 project. He was urging me to bring in any custom jobs that I want to sell (as if I actually have any) and was professing his love for the BK-2 - after the makeover it got from the aforementioned local maker. Good way to spend a snowy evening.

Thanks everyone!!

Mike ill pass them along bud!!

Todd.... What are you talking about bud? That was top notch quality stuff, if i remember right i think it sold for 1 to 5 million dollars and is now hanging in a museum :D

Lots of cooking going on over here.... Im not doing it... But lots of cooking is still going on LOL

Yea it was.

The forum did flicker and go down for a moment there, but it was only for a minute... instead of 45.

So, will it be snowy for y'all from now until???? March/April/May?

Or is this a temporary condition that will melt off in a week or so?

We were suppose to get snow today, but we only got maybe 10 minutes of slush in between rain.

I am liking it that the forum was only down for a few minutes tonight. Seems like just about the time I can get on and catch up on snark it has been crashing. I've written a few comments that never made it to actually posting.

And Happy Thanksgiving WW. Got any big plans?

Yea bud, the time it was going down was prime forum searching time. Especially for people on the west coast, or late night people on the east coast.

Happy Thanksgiving bud, and to everyone else as well.

We got some family coming over and food has been cooking all day. Ham is in the oven now and i have to pull it out at 0430. A huge pot of greens and neck bones has been finished and the wife gave me strict guidelines not to touch them... Of course i had to sneak a few bites in anyways LMAO

Neko turns 1 today (thanksgiving day) And he is getting all the organs from the turkey and either a raw cornish hen or a nice big raw steak. I bet he is going to love that!!

What about you bud?

We're gonna load up the car post sunrise and head to the in-laws. They've got a little sort-of cabin on 150 acres about 2 1/2 hours east of here. Gonna let the boys and the dog run. Look for a deer to shoot and try and relax. I've been having a hard time deciding which knives to take. It's only been a year since I bought my first Becker and I have a ridiculously large collection for a suburbanite who never owned a decent knife before.

Happy b-day to Neko!

That sounds awesome man!! 150 acres would be nirvana for me. I may never be seen again LMAO

If i ever hit the big lotto id buy 100+ acres of woods with a private lake, or have a lake/BIG pond dug in, and be in peace for the rest of my years. Wouldnt need a big house or fancy cars or any of that, wouldnt buy expensive clothes or shoes.. None of that crap. All id want is a bunch of land, knives, boats, fishing gear etc. Talk about the perfect life.

Neko says "ruff ruff" translated by google translate to thank you :D
