$12,000, ouch. The banjo ukes are pretty cool too. I may surprise Kathy with one down the road.

For $12K it better play itself and come with a record deal guaranteed to make me a star :D

Just kidding of course... that kinda stuff is for the big names who've already made it, and guys who just plain have more cash than sense. I was just surprised it was right out on the floor, not locked-down or anything. Usually custom shop stuff is at least chained to the wall, if not behind glass.

It really was a darn cool store... they had a great selection from beginner to pro instruments and their prices looked very reasonable to me. Even the "entry level" axes they carry are from brands with good reputations. I also noticed CF Martin is selling a line of their basic designs now, except manufactured in Mexico so they cost about half what a "real" USA Martin does... I picked on a couple and they feel and sound very nice. Reckon I'ma have to sell a couple extra knives this year... ;)

I hear that, haha.

This guy can play. Kind of a long video, but he can definitely play:

I came across this vid awhile back too, also good:

I'm looking at AK pistols, after I get my Glock 19 of course. I had decided on a mini Draco, until I saw the micro Draco. Decisions, decisions...
Draco pistols are so cool. My b.I.l. took a draco, had it rebuilt with a milled reciever and then put an underfolding stock on it and some other nice furniture. Of course its a SBR but probably the funniest AK I have ever shot. I want it so bad lol.

It occurs to me that I probably have actually spent at least $12K on guitars and amps and various other associated whatnottery... but it took me 25 years to do it :D

Thread about to close huh. See you guys on the next one.

I would like to play an instrument, but seemingly never had the patience for it. Learned a few songs on the harmonica, and gave up on it. I thought an Ocarina might be cool too, but just can't seem to get the hang of it. After 15 minutes or so, you think I'd be a virtuoso by now, haha.

When i was in high school there was a mix up in my class scheduling, they accidentally put me in advance band 2. The teacher/instructor told me i need to pick an instrument so i picked the drums... And a very attractive girl was given the task of teaching me to play them. I learned a basic beat that went with quite a few songs, she was a good teacher and i started to enjoy trying to play them but the instructor was less than thrilled about me being in the class. It took 2 weeks for them, but they fixed my schedule and took me out of band. Never touched an instrument again.

If you enjoyed it that much, I'm surprised you didn't continue at home.

I really like the mountain lion idea. I understand they are easily trained with a can of hairspray and a Bic lighter.

That can't possibly ever go wrong.

I bet they would explode if we got 6 inches.

Giggity.

If money were no object, I'd SBR an Arsenal SAM7K, but they're $1300. A M92 PAP has very favorable reviews and only costs about $500 and I've found out how to set it up to co-witness a red dot with the iron sights. If I could set the Mini Draco up with a co-witnessed red dot then I'd get that since it's shorter, but it doesn't look like anyone makes a mount that will allow that right now.

Without the pretty girl teaching me i just wasnt as interested honestly. She made it fun to learn, she told me once i got the song right id get a kiss... And she followed through with the deal once i did. Im sure i was more interested in her than the drums :D

Kids party was a success

Kids got some cool swag and a fun time was had by all.

Time... for a nap!

IBTL see ya in the next thread!
