The "Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery" GIVEAWAY!! WINNER ANNOUNCED!!

First, I'd like to thank Dwight for bringing this thread back up to the front page, and for posting a great @Pàdruig photo. (That said, after looking at that photo some more, I do have some questions, Dwight. Do you also happen to have a back deck that overlooks running water? Did you take a plank of wood, a mug and a pipe out to the woods to take a picture by a creek? Is there some sort of artificial background situation going on? I need to know! ;) :D)

It does seem like things have slowed down a bit here. I think that may be due in part to folks being busier during the week with work and such, so I'm hoping we'll get some more good posts over the weekend. Don't forget, even if you've already entered twice, you can always add more just for fun! I think there are still plenty of Porch regulars left to be imitated (and there's no harm in doing your own take on someone who's already been done). If the thread really slows down next week, I may draw for the winner midweek rather than letting it run all the way to Sunday, March 3rd. If so, I'll give 24 hours notice for any final entries.

For now, though, how about photo another featuring our prize knife? Any Guardian worth his salt will recognize this photo style. But whose name will end up on that Schrade? :)

I've been pretty busy at work lately, but may try to post another imitation or two this weekend (my two entries were early on). This has been a fun thread, Barrett.

Thank you Barrett. There is a small creek that runs through our property and flows pretty well about six months out of the year. Yes I took an old cedar plank down to it and pretended to be Dylan for a minute! I will never capture that ethereal otherworldly almost ... SPOOKY... atmosphere that he does but it was fun trying. :D Great thread my friend and thanks.

Well it seems that my weekend theory was... incorrect. :rolleyes: :D Since there haven't been any posts since Friday and this thread had dropped back to page 4, I think we'll go ahead and schedule the drawing for tomorrow afternoon. If you haven't entered yet and would like to, you have until noon (central time) tomorrow, at which point I'll close the giveaway to additional entries and draw for the winner, which will be announced later that afternoon. We currently have 22 entrants, 14 of whom posted more than one photo for a second entry.

Before this thing ends, I thought I'd try my hand at imitating @Pàdruig's distinctive photographic style. (You'll just have to imagine the creek in the background. ;))

To be honest, I've wanted to post something here, but I have major feelings of inadequacy after seeing all of the spectacular entries :D:D
