The importance of quality drivers.

I think it is an issue with the sets with interchangeable bits. My set came with 6 drivers that are fixed like a regular screw driver and have held up great, and I am a big fan of blue locktight

I will agree that threadlocker has a time and place but for my knives I will buy hardware or knives that does not require it. If I want permanent threadlocker on my folding knife you might as well do pinned/traditional slipjoint construction.

If it has fasteners like torx and Allen's etc. to me it is meant to be serviceable. I understand that not everyone thinks this way. And I totally agree with the statement about the 6 drivers that are fixed. I have the wiha t handle drivers and they are excellent.

Thread locking compound doesn't prevent servicing, it just prevents unintentional loosening. As long as you don't use the wrong threadlocking compound.
