The Kamis Need Your STUFF! New Donation Drive!

What's the address in Nepal?
We are in India at the moment and got a few clothes we don't plan on taking back home to Ca.
Gotta be cheaper sending it from here than halfway arround the world.

Thank you all

This will be my first post in the HI sub-forum. I have been reading the threads for a few days now and I have enjoyed, not only the information, but the community found within.

I do not own a HI blade, nor have I even seen or held such an item. Please forgive my ignorance, I still have a lot to learn. I do plan to own a HI blade one day. The Khukuri is such a beautiful tool with a great history. They seem to hold a story before even used. I am thankful for this sub-forum, the people who teach, and the families who create.

I decided tonight I should give before I receive and wanted you to know I will be sending a box this week.

All the best

Welcome to the community, and you will like the blades. The kamis will appreciate the gifts.

Dobe_1 - Thank you for the welcome. I do look forward to trying one, one day.

Thank you Philllll, hope you and yours are well buddy.

Welcome, Brett! Thanks for helping the kamis & sarkis out with your donation. I just finished packaging up my second box. Figure they need it worse than me. If you really don't know what style of khuk you might want, let me suggest a KLVUK as a first step. They are hard working utility khuks and can be found on the DODs most inexpensively. They'll outlast your life time.

Barry thank you for the welcome my friend. :)

Bookie, thank you as well sir, and for the recommendation.I do not want to side track this thread, it is for a great purpose, but I will certainly study the KLVUK, thank you.

Welcome to the forums KBA! Hope you enjoy your stay. Many thanks for your generosity and kindness and good luck with your Khukri selection. Most questions you might have can be answered here by a bunch of knowledgeable and willing good folks. Feel free to post and visit anytime.

ndoghouse - Thank you for the warm welcome.

Just wanted to give an update that the box is in the mail. Also, if anyone decides to send a large box through the USPS, they do not accept duc tape. That type of tape gets caught in their machines. You can use it to add stability to the box, but it will have to be covered with the thinner clear tape.

The vacuum sealed bags worked great! Thank you to the earlier post about this. ::thumbup:

Also, for future readers who have not sent, is there a cut off day to this?

Best way to be sure, is ask auntie. But, it was said in an earlier post that one of auntie's sisters will be going back to Nepal in early Fall to deliver the goods.

I'm moving to my new apartment this weekend, and will be going through my clothes this week. I have also been pestering my coworkers to see if they have anything. I plan on sending a box out next week.

You folks are so awesome:)
My box is still filling up. Work has been ridiculously crazy, so I haven't had time to ship it out. Hopefully by monday:o

Once again, you people are wonderful :)

I'm only a few more days in India. Would be great to send my stuff to Nepal directly.
Anybody knows the address?

I am in the process of filling my box too. Lots of goodies for the kamis and families. Don't forget that they might have kids so any old baby or kids cloths might be worth sending. Old laptops and iPhones will also be appreciated. I am even throwing in some toys for the kids.

How about just sending some $ to Yangdu and buying stuff there? Or is clothing not easily available for purchase?

and...

Americans are WAAAAY bigger people than Nepalis. Got some size approximations so we're not shipping Godzilla-sized apparel for diminutive folks? Shoe sizes would be vastly different, as well.

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

I bet they know a Sarki or two that could remedy that problem;)

My brother is getting ready to ship clothes to Auntie, and I cannot seem to find the address. I'm sure it is right in front of me on this forum, but I have missed it. Will someone please repost the address.

Thank you,
