The Knife that made you start collecting

Spyderco Police Stainless. Given to me as a gift by an Ex-girlfriend around 1994. That was her one quality.
 
It was a Randall #16. It was the first knife I could "customize" (yes, Les, I know it is not a "Custom" knife in your parlance!). It allowed me to chose the handle material, handle shape, hilt material, hilt shape, sawteeth or not, etc.

About 30 Randall purchases later (and 29 sales or gifts) I still like adding my own features, sort of like ordering a car.

A puma steelmaster 1 Tanto in AUS-8 a friend of mine left in my car. I carried it over to him and I kinda like the feel of the knife in my pocket. The first one I bought was some herbertz gents folder in 420HC my first "real" knives were the Lum fixed tanto and spydercard.
 
Gerber AR3.00.

I bought it for a much too high price, got angry about my mistake and looked for another knife. Doesn´t sound logical, right?
