What knife do you remember dreaming of when you was a kid?

now do you own this knife?

For me it was the Buck 119 for a year or two, i don't have one right now but i got a few of these by the years.

as a kid all i wanted was Rambos knife and a Buck 110. i got the 110, but quickly found out all the First Blood replicas i saw were junk.

Same here with the Rambo knife. Always wanted one as a kid and that knife if the biggest POS.

I wanted a Rambo style knife too but it was the one with the compass bubble on the butt cap...this one

Funny, but I don't remember ever literally dreaming about a knife until I started hanging around this forum.

I was dreaming of numerous Sebenzas, Strider folders, William Henrys, custom folders from all of the hot makers. I still would not mind having them, but have developed an appreciation for bush blades. Choppers, camp blades, multi blade folders, bushcraft, Kephart. Nessmuk even though I don't like the blade, I appreciate the utility in them. Now, I dream of Skookum bush tools and Dozier bushcrafters. Still would like to have a Lambert Inferno, or RJ Martin Rampage ;).

Mark me down as another Rambo fan. :o

As a kid I thought the Rambo III bowie was the sweetest knife ever! (I even remember drawing pictures of it while I was in school) -And yes I bought one when I was in my early 20's, and I still have it.

I even sharpened it up and whacked a few vines and tree branches with it ( it does feel pretty darn good in the hand, no matter how cheap it is) ...these days it's more of a conversation piece than anything. :)

Neat designs, even if they are crappilly made. ...At least they seem to have inspired a generation of kids to become bigger knife nuts!!

The knife I dreamed about as a kid was a buck 119 I still think it is the pertty knife I've ever seen it was the second "real" knife I ever bought, Then after I learned about knives I wanted a benchmade 710 I now have 2.

The one, the only, the "Iron Mistress" Bowie!

Don't have it, though I did scour several streams to see if it was one of them that Alan Ladd dropped it into at the end of the movie!!

I too always wanted a Rambo knife, and then I got one and it was the cheapest quality knife I've ever owned.

jimmy lile designed and made the knives for first blood and rambo.

gil hibben designed the bowie for the third movie.

knives made by the original designers are no doubt high quality pieces.

I always wanted one of those orange pilot auto knive
i was raised air force brat what can i say

Mr. Lile designed the one i wanted, but didnt he actually only make 13 for the movie, and the ones that flooded the market were cheap spinoffs? im pretty sure the flea market ones i looked at werent Lile originals. LOL

As a kid?
A real honest-to-God version of the Sword of Omens or Thundarr the Barbarian's Sun Sword.

He-Man's sword from the movie "Masters of the Universe."

A little later it was either: Victor Kurgen's broadsword or Connor McLeod's katana from "Highlander."

However, once I realized I'd never own any of those and watched the Rambo movies for the first time I wanted an exact replica of the Jimmy Lile knife from "First Blood". But I settled for that knock-off one that was pictured above (I bought one the other day just for nostalgia and couldn't wipe the stupid grin off my face the whole way home.)

I'm still thinking about buying a repro of the Jimmy Lile from Master Cutlery though... just to shut that little Jones in my head up.

I always wanted a buck 110. I got one a few years ago and never really used it. I actually sold it last week. Some dreams just don't really make it in the real world :)

I still think the buck 110 is a very cool knife, but for my usage they dont work well. Too heavy and bulky compared to the slimmer folders that clip to your pocket

Sly holding a piece of knife history made by the man himself, Jimmy Lile...i wonder what an original would fetch?

As a kid, one of my heroes was McGyver. I wasn't really into knives back then and the SAK that my parents gave me was enough to make me like McGyver; me and my friends used our SAKs to built shelters, made camp fires, went fishing etc.
