Just curious, Do you want to buy more cold steel knives? Or is it the end of the line? I wanted a Espada xl but not anymore. The fancy one
The brand is cheapened. I can't justify purchasing a knife that I would not get parts for. I've bought my. last. So the question is are you going to get any more?.or are you done. I'm not going to buy anymore. Opinions?

Probably will, if I see a deal on one I like. Only had to use their customer service once for a pocket clip which did arrive months later. I use mostly aftermarket clips for CS now anyway. Most of their stuff is pretty tough and I’ve never broken one, so I don’t foresee needing to use their “customer service” now for anything.

Where do you get the clips?

If they keep making more of the legacy models in full black, or cool colors, yeah I would buy some of the ones I like. If they bring back some more discontinued stuff I would buy some also.
I just learned to mentally separate the stuff that’s been designed and produced under Lynn, and still made in the same factories, from the stuff that is made cheap and marketed for the big box stores. Kind of like thinking of them as coming from separate companies.
I haven’t had any quality control issues sticking with the good ol’ models.
Other than that I do have some older things that I would love to get. I am just really not into anything but Cold Steel so it is going to be hard to let go if they don’t downgrade the Lynn creation models.
I have information from a very good source that several more models will be making a return. So for sure I’m keeping my eyes peeled for them. Not to sound like a wimp but as an example, I stopped using my Colossus because I don’t want to destroy it-I love that thing-but I would love to get a user and I’m not paying the 300 for it that I see going around. So I wait, patiently, in the shadows of my cave, lurking about for the return of what I hope to be some cool stuff…

The last knife I got is a Voyager xl. It is a keeper. But the future don't look good

As long as they keep selling Ti-Lite 6's, and as long as I consider them to be an acceptable level of quality, and as long as people continue to buy my conversions, I will continue to buy them.

I've bought 12 Ti-Lite 6's so far, the last three were GSM/Cold Steel. I've had issues with two of the 12, one from pre-GSM Cold Steel (excessively late lock-up), and one GSM/CS that had a few dings in the edge (the other 2 from GSM/CS were perfect).

I kept the late-lockup one as a parts knife and for experimentation, and I simply touched-up the edge on the blade with the dings.

Although I wish GSM/Cold Steel cared more about customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, I'll continue to buy their products. I'll continue to sing the praises of the Ti-Lite 6 (credit due to Lynn Thompson and Phil Boguszewski), I just won't be singing the praises of the company that sells them.

Sounds reasonable. What conversion?

Very nice. I don't want to know how much that cost but I do how much is it?

Well, since this is your thread, and you're the one asking, the current price is $600. It costs me $250 to make one, not counting time and effort. And they come with a lifetime warranty. I don't have any available at the moment, they sell as fast as I can make them.

They look really nice. And you must really be handy and talented. Takes a lot of work to do that I guess. I know I could not do it. I have trouble with my hands. Sometimes. They forgot about us lefties. When cs designed that blade.

I am probably done. I really don't want my hard earned dollars going to GSM. Every once in a while, I look at oddball things like the pocket bushman, or another hawk, but I stop myself. There are other companies more deserving of my money.

They couldn't/woudn't sell me a replacement sheath for a current production knife. They could have at least been upfront about it instead screwing me around until I gave up. Cannot abide poor customer service from anyone. No more knife sharpening service either.

Legacy models and the historical lines I'll keep an eye on. Also I hope the dig in the archives and bring back some old models. The new stuff I just don't have that much interest in.

I was going to buy a frenzy today. But I just took it out of my cart and moved along. I can't buy anything from them anymore. I'm going to look for a different brand. And I'm probably looking into Spyderco or something of that caliber. Something with a guarantee and customer service

When I called gsm/cold Steel the woman was in a different state than Texas. She was in a call center. She told me she was very busy after I waited for 1 hour due to it being hunting season. Nonetheless she didn't even know what a pocket clip was.

I'll still buy CS knives as long as the price is close to what I consider the value of the knife to be and they have designs I like.

Over the past year and a half I bought most of the knives I really wanted but for years did not get around to buying. I bought 2 3V Magnum Tanto XII, 2 3V Magnum Tanto II, 1 3V Magnum Tanto IX, 2 3V Master Tantos, 1 SM Magnum Tanto XII, and 1 SM Master Tanto.

I also bought other knives but those were not on my list, just knives I wanted to try out.

I'll probably get an Outdoorsman, Tai Pan, and maybe a SM Recon Tanto next year. Maybe a SM Trailmaster if the price is good.

I'll probably get a few of the pushdaggers as well as some of those new small tantos.

I might get some swords but those are a different product line than the knives.

I probably won't get machetes until maybe a year after they fix their "90 degree edge" issues. I'll wait a year after that to make sure the ones already made are off the market. If they don't fix it I'm finished with their machetes. Even cheap Walmart and Harbor Freight machetes has some sort of edge, and CS generally charges $30.00+ for their machetes these days.

I'm not going to pay collector prices for discontinued knives when there are many other knives from CS and other companies to buy.

I might get a few folders as well, but folders are not my focus.

Well I really like that Frenzy. I'm trying to figure out if I should buy it. The price ain't bad but it looks pretty cool. I'm not sure if I should buy it or not buy it.
