The learning curve

I've learned from this thread that people develop a preference or abhorrence for a given knife company due to how that company has made them feel and not how the knife actually performed.
that's a solid point. Not sure what's going on in this thread exactly, but I've seen what you mentioned here countless times, both with knives and with bicycles, (my profession) where there is literally a seat for every ass!

Now, tough guys...
I, for one, am thrilled at being called a tough guy.

No intention to upset you, nor am I bitter. After the missing Hinderer bead was mentioned more than once, it became apparent you had an axe to grind with the company disguised as a thread about life lessons. I'm just calling it as I see it.

It sucks when the world has opinions that aren't your own. Enjoy your knives.

From the Chris Reeve Forum here. Additional info on that forum. Yes, my knife has a blade of D2 steel. I still will post the response from CRK. Yes, we are all mistaken at one point or another. But this time I wasn’t mistaken. Thank you.

From loon#r:

“Ehhhhh, I *feel like a D2 Chris Reeve “folder(s)” did in fact exist, but we’re talking about THE FOUR LEAF CLOVER of 4-leaf clovers. If you had a D2 Chris Reeve folder shame on you for using it thus.

a D2 Reeve folder did exist decades ago (not my pic - maybe St. James) - summoning the last remaining CRK oracles @Lone_Wolfe @Ajack60 @bhyde @nyefmaker and I guess @nickpp :D View attachment 1383573@Ajack60 @bhyde @nyefmaker and I guess @nickpp :D
That's not the proof you think it is. Your time frame is way off. No one has confirmed the knife ever existed. You have no pictures. You don't know who, when, how much, or any of the basics. Then, there is you overall judgment which is questionable at best, based on how you have behaved in this thread and others. I'll gladly eat crow if it turns out you rusted the rarest of the rare crks, but at this point it looks like you are once again mistaken. Sorry.

Sir,
As long as you are "learning' you should learn that the Sherman tank ,wasn't built very well (the Brits called it a Ronson lighter, one shot and it caught fire.) The only good thing about it was We made a lot of them, a Whole Lot. People in this thread have tried to help you and your thanks is to insult them. No wonder your learning curve has been long and costly.

With no pictures, no evidence, and no memory, I wouldn’t call anyone bashing anything. Yes, there are definitely fan bases of different brands of knives. That point missed the mark with this thread. It was a complaint post, with a small few “compliments” (as you call them) peppered in to disguise the complaint.

This thread wasn’t started to do anything other than bash on one brand and brag on another (without evidence of the latter, which is what really took hold in this thread). You can’t just claim to have a unicorn but don’t remember anything about it, have zero pictures, and expect not to be questioned by a knife community.

Basically what I’m seeing and hearing is, “prove what you have with pictures here or by sending it directly to CRK.” As far as the Sebbie is concerned.

And I for one would not hesitate to say it in front of you and definitely still keep my teeth
