The only reason I went for VCEP button lock, since I already have Talos frame lock. I like to have different variety of locks in my Les collection

Personally, they are both great with great actions, I will give frame lock the edge only because of the acoustics during actuation and the cleaner show side scale.

Yep, and I'm sure mitchnola will confirm gen 1>gen 2 Talos, but he has bought most of them up and swims through them like scrooge mcduck in his knife storage facility

After chatting with u I came to a conclusion that the best ever folder made by Les the king George is a Talos !!!

This is my only Gen 1 and the blade finish is polished DLC, it's almost like classic Colt Bluing

To be honest with u I have never handled VCEP, waiting for it to arrive. I will only then be able to tell u my honest opinion.
