The Les George Knives Thread

Well, as someone who sold my first VECP because I preferred my Talos, I have just agreed to trade my Talos for a VECP 😅 It's an early Gen3 with the backspacer and outline logo. Talos hasn't seen much pocket time lately so I figured what the hell. If I still prefer the Talos after another dance with the VECP I don't think I would have much trouble finding someone to trade with or selling the VECP outright.

Post some photos when it lands!

I believe Mitch will recognize it. ;) Nice piece. I was tempted by it.

this post ain't gonna be popular...but im not overly impressed. (edit part...wasnt 580 bucks, my memory was off...was) 535 bucks later and I feel the spartan Taiwan made import for 100 and change is good enough of a George designed knife.....

the spartan is a better overall size blade and handle, to me.^

this titanium George is nice enough, but for the super high price....the spartan import is a good enough a knife with a similar look.

okay go ahead and hammer away at my post.......
I actually agree. I love the fit and finish of the Les Gorge knives, but the VECP had too much belly for me, and the Talos I thought the handle was too slippery, but I hate smooth metal handles.

I bought the Spartan for giggles cause it was like $80 on sale and it was G10 for some grip. I didn't think I'd like it but I really do, but it does not have that "vault" lockup that my old VECP had.

The Myna is tempting but I'd still rather have a G10 option at least on the non-lock side, or a very rough sandblasted handle finish to provide some grip.

Couldn’t agree more. Had this scale made. Grippy as hell and saved almost an oz. Les did do a stock version once but only the king knows when that’ll happen again.

So far I’ve only come across a few ti knives where the milling provides a great grip. I’d definitely be interested in getting my hands on a few more!

MEFP MK3 is definitely a gem. Smoothest washer knife I've ever owned.
