The Les George Knives Thread

hand made or not, all titanium or not...no way was i gonna pay that kinda money. I have to admit im not much of a hinderer fan. like some of the zt models he designed, but dont love his own folders all that much.

I especially dislike that big choil on bout every folder he does. looks odd and make the blade start way too late.
Yep, my Hinderers are the minimum choil options. PX, eklipse, no choil xm3.5 and my favorite, the firetac.

Ye this batch was way smaller than Les George’s, even though I have seen blade numbers on the blade pass #151.?
There were probably maybe eight to ten of each judging from the serial number spread in the ones that were taken out for dealer photos. I am very fast, but I'm only about 50% on Hinderer limited drops.

I’m partial to Live Oaks! My favorite of all the hardwoods!!
My wife and I were just in Louisiana, and when we went to Mass, the cathedral in Lafayette had a live oak that is more than five hundred years old and has a side branch that needs steel supports because it's estimated to weigh 70 tons. Fascinating tree!

Yes sir! They’re everywhere down here. City park in NOLA has the most live oaks in one park with well over 1500 of them.

This past January we had a foot of snow for the first time possibly ever. Shut the whole city down for a week including interstates. 😂
