The Les George Knives Thread

Glad to hear it!

Tool has been one of my favorite bands since high school RHCP being the other. Danny Carey is incredible and love Maynards vocals. Definitely the best Live arena concerts I’ve ever been too.
since high school? how old are ya Mitch....I was already an adult when tool released their first ep opiate.....and a year later, give or take, their first full album.

I like RHCP quite a bit too. My other favorite is Pink Floyd. If you like Carey and Chad Smith check out Drumeo. The greats, and lesser known but skilled, drummers learning and playing new songs, some by other greats Really cool imo.

Love Chad too, and Peart. Baker. I’ve seen some drumeo but definitely due a deep dive.

Lol, you old sob! I’m 46. I was 13 when I got undertow from BMG.

I saw their Undertow tour concert at The Ritz in Ybor. I think it was ‘93.

That’s effin awesome! I’ve always wished I had seen that show and Pearl jam ten tour. Aenima was the first time I saw them. And I got to see Pearl jam for Vs.

Oh yeah, my parents were pissed when they found out. Not sure how much I owed but definitely a couple hundred. How old are you, I noticed you always got all of blues references. 😂

You guys are amateurs.

I saw the Stones in 1969 with Janis Joplin, B.B. King and Ike and Tina Turner. I think there was one other act, but I can't remember.

Saw Black Sabbath at the Fillmore East about a year or so after that show. I think J.Geils Band was there too and Sir Lord Baltimore...but it's hazy.

If you tell me you saw Jimi next I’ll be forced to bend the knee!!!

I've seen some jazz greats too, down at clubs in Greenwich Village. Charles Mingus...Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and other legendary jazz artists.

Miss those days.
