The Les George Knives Thread

whoa testament......nice

rest are decent too....cool ya kept them. I always threw mine away, much like I do with knife boxes......
That Testament show was hilarious. There were like fifty people there. The pit was, uh, sparse. Basically just dudes running around in open space trying really hard to find someone else to run into.

You're basically screwed if you're handed that song to replicate, as a drummer.

Carey is a mutant, and I'm just glad he decided to spend some time on our planet and teach us the ways of his people.

Carey is an incredible drummer, I put him and Peart neck n neck. But I gotta say funk and even more so jazz drummers make the rock gods drop their jaws and can’t come close to playing their stuff.

Always wanted to see NIN too. Could only imagine seeing Rollins for that album!
Trent was just touring....my sevice manager went to Boston to see him back in August last year.

I love angry Henry in black flag damaged album.....Rollins band i appreciate but dont love. his get in the van book was great reading back in the mid 90s think it was...

Saw Black Flag with Rollins a few times, and with Dez before him. You never knew what was going to happen at those shows. I remember one in Compton that serious went off the rails and we were met with riot police and helicopters as we tried to make a run for it. Good times. 😁

that la punk scene was incredible in footage and records I grew up on. did ya see when Keith Morris was singing pre circle jerks era? or circle jerks back then?

I loved the pit growing up. Crazy the stupid shit they do in pits now a days. That stuff would have gotten ya a$$ kicked with the quickness back in the day.

My brother is older than I am and was heavy in the punk scene. He has fun stories.

Sorry, can’t help when I was born.
your era had lot of great music in it....even some of those older bands were still touring. I saw cromags 2 times in the 90s. one with John Joseph and another later with Harley singing.

Circle Jerks played before BF at that Compton show, along with Youth Brigade. BF only got about 3 songs into their first set before all hell broke loose.
