The Les George Knives Thread

It's reminiscent of my old S&W model 15 but it's not that gun. I'm not a collector of revolvers, and know mostly about the ones I carried at work or owned.

Yep, it was a direct competitor to the Smith Chief’s Special back in the day. Now? Not so much. I carry it all the time, and actually qualified with it as an off-duty at work for S’s and G’s.
That's the same size as the model 36? For some reason it looked closer to a K frame to me. I had a 36 and 15 at one time.

I qualified with both quarterly for years. Had to. Now my only revolver is a 642 since I sold my 686+ to my neighbor.

I can give u a hint Blues, this revolver was use in the 70’s a lot by gangsters, hit man. Saturday live belly snub revolver, but very reliable and was made by one of the engineers that worked for Colt and then decided to do his own company. Now I gave you more than enough to find out lol

I have new grips from S&W coming in tomorrow for my 642. They're hardish rubber with an enclosed back strap. Sort of like the VZ grips for the new AFR UC revolvers, but made with material meant to dampen recoil.

I currently carry the Hogue G10 piranhas with diamond pattern on the 642

I'm familiar with the brand, and also with the criminals who carried them. I put them away for a living.
