Speaking of sketchy transactions, I’ve been hunting for a VECP Morph and was talking to some on the FB group . This guy Alex messages me with photos of a morph but price seemed too good, he wouldn’t budge on F&F, had no vouches and seemed just a scammer so I passed .

He’s a scammer for sure - he leaves random BS comments on peoples “In Search Of” posts all the time.

He tried to tell me that he has a Damascus MK3 for sale a few times. Everytime I’d try to get pics or a video he’d just stop responding.

And, yes, do NOT buy knives from Gabe. I’m not one to talk down on people but he has shown time and time again that he lacks a moral compass. He’s taken advantage of peoples kindness way too many times.

Thanks all . In other news, someone on FB offered a plain ti ESV flipper for $325 shipped . Don’t have an ESV yet but I’m learning that I should hold out for one of the patterned scales or end up regretting it and looking again later

Facebook knife groups are the worst. I will only sell there, never buy or trade.

Thank goodness! His prices were always way high.
 
For day two of the challenge, I've got an oldie, but a goodie. 2010 custom ESR with a hand ground 154CM blade with a hollow grind. Milled G10 Tephra pattern scales. The liner, clip, and thumb studs are all titanium. For those who haven't held one, the ESRs are slightly longer and a lot more stout than their ESV counterparts. The blade stock thickness on this little guy is pretty absurd. And it runs on nylon washers! A neat throwback custom that I'm actually not afraid to use. Not the fanciest knife Les has ever done, but I dig it.

Thanks and yes it's perfect on there! I was lucky as it was already on it when I purchased the knife. It's hard to pick a favorite out of the Les collection but it's definitely up there 😀

Man that's the best news of the month 😃 I knew that there was some talks going on about him on the Facebook page but I didn't know if anything came about it! But I'm cautiously happy because he's a die hard LG flipper so I would venture to say he will probably start another Facebook just to get back in there to get the good deals. I still haven't forgiven myself for selling that jerk my Damascus for a song.

Still waiting on my tan DLC MK3. Apparently Simian Sharpness's UNINSURED USPS option is still sent with signature required, and it just happens I am working from downtown instead of home this whole week and missed it. Will have to pick it up this afternoon after work from the central post office.

Yeah… I’m not a huge fan of ME. If it weren’t for their special editions, which are always so badass, I would never shop there.

Never liked how they jack up the price of Hinderers by $25-$50 on every model and charge outrageous shipping costs 🙄😑

I frankly don't care for them either, for those reasons plus they seem to have no interest in improving how their drops or customer service work, but they seem to have an in with several makers and manufacturers I like and a lot of dealer exclusives that are usually really cool, so I always look.- Their new frag SHF is tempting. I don't even like the SHF.
