The Les George Knives Thread

Very neat. I recall seeing those for the first time at their table at a knife show. I really wish these were larger, but they're still really nice. They're starting to become more available, thankfully.

And discounted at some places.

I do wish it were a tad larger though it fits a smaller carry niche in my LG collection. Or so I tell myself. A tad heavier than other similarly sized knives I own. But, I’m happy with it. Well made and put together, nice scales, easily flickable out of the box, and I missed this general type of lock after selling/gifting my many Manix and few Griptilians last year.

Just received this Les George Raider Stiletto by Priority Mail which incredibly arrived in just 2 days.

That's what they promise but it's a record time of delivery for my Priority Mail deliveries recently.

This is the only Les George that I own that comes from his shop. The other Les George designed knives that I own include a:

1) Wilson Combat Superfly Balisong
2) ZT 0900
3) ZT 0929

Use to own a ZT0900 but sold it because it was too small for my taste.

That's it for now but I'm hoping to add a Les George/Bawidamann Doughboy or an original Les George Trench Knife to my collection sooner or later. ☺️

Beautiful stilleto. I'm thinking about trying a Defiant 7 Talos as my entry point into a Les George design. Would love a ZT 0920 as well.

It's piqued my interest for a while, and seems like a pretty decent way to get into a Les George design. I don't think I've ever seen a NKD post with one or anything so just thought I'd ask the group. USA Made Blade regularly stocks them, $285 seems fair if it's as nice as it appears. I know plunge lock can be controversial for some but I don't mind them. I only have one, a Malibu midtech, and it's great. My use case is pretty typical, nothing hard use. Primarily cutting hay bales and feed bags, and of course opening packages.

I think you'll find that many people in this thread have Talos experience. It's definitely been a popular model amongst LG fans. Personally, it's one of my favorite LG models. 👍

I bought this D7 Talos a little while ago from another member here, and it’s been a very frequent carry since…including today. It’s a good all-around carry/use size, with very comfortable handles, and easy action. The button lock works well, and lockup is solid. It just does a lot of things right.

They are very handsome looking, relatively subtle. Something you don't have to be embarrassed about pulling out in front of coworkers :p I think I might have to snag one. I recently started expanding my US pieces, 0392wc, 0562mic, eklipse skinny in Magnacut. I think next on my wishlist will be d7 talos. The handle ano looks to be holding up well. I like the wear on the button.

the d7 talos is a great knife. I dont love button locks, but it works.

the d7 eagle auto is also a great knife if ya want auto or bit longer blade. I wouldn't mind a d7 eagle titanium with frame lock from d7 or even a v1 talos........that would be really great.

If you want a titanium frame lock Eagle then you need to get the wc Eagle made by Les. An excellent knife. Pm if ya interested cause there are currently a few available.

They really nailed the handle coating as well. Smooth but still grippy

I saw the d7 Alpha was sold out. Did anyone get one? Curious how they are. Gonna definitely try one eventually via the secondary.
