I hear that. For me, another factor is that I can no longer fly armed since retiring...but I can carry anywhere in the country.yeah dont mind driving...used to like flying before 9/11 and it became a massive effort
yeah I dont like the effort it takes to fly with a firearm checked....so I disarm. same with knives.....I dont bother taking a risk not knowing whether laws are followed or not where I go....so im only taking my sak in my checked bag.....it will handle normal tasks and not get me hassled.I hear that. vegas...smells like bad weed and rico suave cologne everywhere. casinos filled with people in pajamas....the "golden age" is long gone......Flying out to Vegas tonight. Going to a “bicycle convention”! So please excuse any late night inappropriate posts for the next few days.

Was on my way to the airport and my buddy who I was going with calls and tells me his wife is at the hospital. She’s having memory issues and confusion. She’s about two hours out of town. So he’s on his way to the hospital now. Trip is canceled. Crazy!![]()
I now regret my Pee-Wee joke. Hope she is ok.
No worries, they’ve pretty much ruled out a stroke and there was no brain bleed. There’s a good chance it may be a uti which can cause these symptoms.
I just talked to him and if she’s all good by the end of the week we might make a mad dash to Dallas for bladeshow.
He owns a little bike shop in town. We were both big into mtn biking minus the mountains. Now I’m more into riding around downtown on my beer cruiser. I am looking to get back on the road bike soon and eventually even some dirt.
Good. Wishing her the best. Blade show would be a solid alternative trip.
All I ride now is a one-speed cruiser around my neighborhood and some local trails. Nice and easy. Gives me time to think.
Don't buy a new ride without at least trying a gravel bike. Not certain of the riding conditions in LA but a gravel bike is literally the best way to leave you open to any condition.......... and sudden urge.I used to be a wild man, jumping every and anything possible. Back then a fall felt like nothing. Now my wheels rarely leave the ground. I went mtn biking in bentonville a month ago and I was hitting the brakes as to not fly off the lips of jumps. I realized the thrill is still there but the potential repercussions are way more threatening.
My little brother works for a company that builds trails around the country. So he’s constantly riding. He’s a pretty damn good dirt jumper. Watching him is thrilling enough. Sucks getting old.
True and my road bike is actually a gravel bike. It came with 1.5 dirt tires. It’s a Surly straggler. I bought it because it’s also equipped to be able to load up with paneers. I hope someday to just hop on and takeoff with everything I need for an incredible journey to the unknown!Don't buy a new ride without at least trying a gravel bike. I fly out Sunday for San Diego, and am praying not to run into any issues.38 minutes of standing in the check bag line and over an hour plus of standing in lines at security and now planes delayed......typical. worst part is I got no Les on me to play with or take pics of.
All of my LGs are better after a clean and relubeIt’s taking all my willpower to withhold my knife nerd tendencies and give this one a good cleaning and lubing! I’ve been holding out thinking that mysterious black gunk may help in breaking in the knife. So the longer I wait potentially the better the action will be when I finally do nerd out on it. Getting tough now that I have a couple days off with nothing to do.
