The Les George Knives Thread

After sitting in a case for most its life, I thought this blade could use a little TLC. Cleaned it with water/baking soda paste and sealed it up with some Wicked Wax.

I could (and do 😆) stare at this Rockeye for hours. This ladder pattern is really popping now!

Having to follow Charlie's pictures is always a fool's errand, but I'm going to have to risk it for this latest acquisition. It's a 2017 Blade Show Rockeye with a textured Mokume inlay and an out-of-this-world 3V and XHP Damascus blade. I haven't been able to put this one down since it arrived.

This is crazy . Where are you hunting for these crazy examples ? Is there some LG custom forum I don’t know about ? Haha

Without question one of the finest blades I’ve ever seen. Seriously… ever. Congrats my friend. What a spectacular addition to your legendary collection!!

The Hydra I got in a trade so I had to give up another killer LG piece for that one. The Mokume Rockeye was offered to me by a private seller who knew I was after customs.

There does seem to be a bit of a snowball effect where it's incredibly difficult to get your first one or two, but after that people know you're serious and passionate so they're more comfortable reaching out. I've also been very fortunate. Despite having spent what must amount to a thousand plus hours of searching at this point, it still takes luck to find these rare gems.

I found my Hydra on the aftermarket as well and I gave it to Les for a quick spa treatment. Awesome knife! :)

 
These are the only Les George designed knives in my collection but I'm very happy with them. :)

From top to bottom they are:

1) ZT 0909 S35VN/Black G10 Flipper/Folder
2) ZT 0920 CPM20CV/Bronze Ti Flipper/Folder
3) Wilson Combat Superfly CTS-XHP/Ti Balisong

I previously owned a ZT 0900 too but sold it because it was too small for my taste. 🤷‍♂️

No such problem with these. LOL! ;)

Wouldn't mind adding a few more Les George designed knives to my collection but for some reason they don't often come up on my radar.

The ones that do come up are either too expensive or don't get me excited but I'll keep an eye out for another. 😉
