The Les George Knives Thread

About to go to the lake for a few days! I'm really liking this Cheburkov.

Edit: Well shoot.. I thought I was posting in the EDC thread. 😅 It's still too early. I'm more of a lurker over in these parts because I don't have an LG yet, but regardless I'll get one eventually, and I still love my Cheburkov.

Wrong thread.......but still sweet colors on the Outsider blade. Lurk on! ✌️

Haven’t been able to put this one down since it arrived on Friday…

An early custom FM-1 liner lock w/ mammoth ivory scales, superconductor bolsters, and low layer damascus w/ CPM154 core blade. The blade grind is far more aggressive than other early FM-1s. Much deeper swedge giving it spearpoint characteristics.

It is hard to convey just how special this knife is and how absurdly grateful I am to own this master piece. A true piece of art.

Hope everyone is having a spectacular Memorial Day Weekend 👊🍻

Wow, that’s an absolute stunner! Love everything about it. Looks like a good size to carry as well. Congratulations buddy!!

Appreciate ya bud 👊💯 It’s a great size to carry, but she is thick! Blade stock is no joke. Also deceptively heavy weighing in at 7.15oz, but that won’t stop me from putting her in the pocket every once in awhile!

No kidding, love a thick blade stock. Can ya send a pic showing the thickness compared to a vecp?

INCREDIBLE. Makes my head spin if I try to pick out a favorite element! So resorting back to the whole and not any single part. Simply incredible. Going to have to research those bolsters............... 🤩.

Damn fine blade!!!👍👍👍

Good morning Les Heads! It’s been 22 days since I held a LG! While I’m past the withdrawal stage I’m seriously jonesing for a vecp in my hand. I’m definitely enjoying my Emie’s but they don’t have that feel of perfection in every aspect like a LG!

Notably silent. 3 weeks of quiet, dark, sensory deprivation in the fetal position? 🫠😬;)

I've got a special one to share today:

2009 Les George Custom FM-1 | Mammoth Ivory Scales | Chad Nichols "Wild One" Damascus Blade | Michael Burch "Trashcan" Damascus Bolsters | Chad Nichols Damascus Backspacer

There are plenty of impressive aspects of this beauty, but a few that stand out include the weight (7.55 oz), the thickness (by far the girthiest LG I own), the action (silky), and the detent (crisp). Charlie and I acquired our mammoth ivory pieces together from the same collector so it felt particularly meaningful to have them both land in Durham.
