The Les George Knives Thread

I only picked up two knives at the show, but they were the exact two I wanted. I couldn't be happier with my first Blade Show experience. Props to ccsmith449 for keeping me sane during the trip. The amount of anxiety we both had not knowing how everything was going to turn out was a lot to deal with. It's great to have friends in this crazy hobby we all share!

Incredible scores and an unforgettable trip man. Badass knives, incredible food, and new friendships formed. As stressful and financially draining as it was, I cannot wait to do it again!

I posted my haul in the BLADE thread, I'll definitely get more pics of my collection when I can. I was like, the fifth guy at Les' table Friday morning Early Bird so I had my pick of the MK3s, which is what I was there to snag.

Nice, we were probably shoulder to shoulder then because so was I. That was the show to be at if you were after a mk3!

I can't wait to post my BLADE score. I wasn't even there but I pestered Jason at DLT on Sunday morning, and he sold me the full DLC morph MK3 that they had at their table that weirdly no one bought. A full DLC Morph MK3 was one of my dream LGs!

Figured I’d share my BladeShow haul with the group. Had a blast, learned a ton, and was (for the most part) reminded of how many amazing people there are in this community.

Meeting Les and time spent with dear friends were the absolute highlight of the trip, but man were the knives unreal!

The custom Rockeye is a lotto piece from 2018 Blade. The seller and I met up at the show and worked out a deal. Beyond stoked about all of these pick ups, but the Rockeye is extra special. Have a great week y’all

Sure do love the MK3 - the dama pattern on this one is especially rad. Hate to see the MK3 go into retirement for awhile but I am stoked for the Talos & VECP run!

I’m a newer LG fan don’t know much about the brand . You say the mk3 is going away for a while. Does he do things kinda like Hinderer where he makes models in cycles?

You could say it is like Hinderer but on a fraction of the scale. Les is a super small operation with only so much capacity. This run of Talos coming up is the first in several years… Hell it’s been a year since we’ve seen frame lock VECPs!

It seems like he works on 2-3 models at a time max and the button lock has been one of those models consistently since the end of 2022. I reckon we might see a little break from the button lock as well!

I checked that one out at the show. Definitely had the best pattern in the whole bunch imo.

I agree with you on thumb discs very underrated!
Pretty sure I’ve recommended this to just about everyone but if you are a thumb disc guy check out the Hinderer firetac if you haven’t yet Mr Norcal above you will agree with me on that

Yep, I swapped my firetac for an awesome SHF, and have been trying to find a reasonably priced firetac ever since!

Here it be! DLT proves they're the best again, sold me this full DLC Morph MK3 right from their table at BLADE! Jason made me a custom invoice right from the table and shipped it the day he got back. I've never been and likely never will get to go, but here's my BLADE score (with the matching plain one I had)!
