The Liking of sale threads?

Yeah I have liked sale posts to indicate I thought the knife or price was special, in the hopes of maybe spurring someone else towards making the purchase
It’s very rare that I’ll like something for sale that I’m not interested in buying, but occasionally I do, and this is pretty much the reason why. Either a knife I really like but just isn’t in the cards right now, or something extraordinarily nice that you don’t see come up very often, or one of these at a very attractive asking price. If I have anything else to say other than ‘I’ll take it’, it’ll be a PM to the seller.

ive liked sales threads because i see it as a good price, the person is fair dealer. i have often laughed at sales prices when I see flipping/gouging. those were my attempts to warn others not to be scalped and this mainly applies to gecs. Although id laugh at gareth bull shamwaris as well. It seems some folks have reported it so i wont do it any more.

I have been guilty of this, including some of your threads I believe. I will rethink it going forward.

The other issue is people doing the laughing emoji on a sales thread. I assume this is a criticism of the price. I do think this is wrong. (Full disclosure: I did this a couple of times. I reversed the last one I did after thinking this was the same thing as criticizing the price in a comment.)

[Edit: From the rules link in another GB&U thread, "using emojis to mock, be ironic, sarcastic or negatively comment upon a seller's listing in the exchange can and will earn you warning points in the same fashion as posting off-topic comments." Hmmm... I guess I self-reported myself.)]

Not that I have many any more, but if I make a sales post, I really don't live or die over someone's emoji posted in my FS thread, regardless of which one it may be. I recall having a laughing emoji in one of my customs FS threads and a guy did the laughing emoji. I politely asked him "why?" via PM and he very kindly told me that my price was too high based on several things (and despite my efforts to research the asking price before I posted). My mistake, and I greatly appreciated that he enlightened me.

I always like G2's posts when I see them. :) I like other FS posts if it's a cool item or I might be interested. I've been contacted by sellers with questions about my interest or if I had comments about the post. I don't think liking these hurts anything.
