I'm really happy with mine, but I do love the look of that burl grip you got there. What kinda wood is it made off?

O-1 is great steel and I'd say you have your heat treat dialed in perfectly too.

good job on the 1-stick fire too, especially if that was your first attempt. next time, try splitting some of the mesquite a little finer. the rule of thumb is one pile of sticks the size of a pencil lead, one pile the size of a pencil, one pile the size of your pinky finger, then one pile the size of your thumb. And i would have used fatwood too, lol.
