Haha right on, I love me a good deadlift, wish I could get paid to worn out instead of vice versa! On that note, be mindful of sweating against a ZDP blade, it is technically stainless but in results has shown to be the most prone to rust of any of the high end steels aside from M4. A lot depends on the acidity of your sweat also but in general ZDP can be rust prone. It seems odd with it being 20% Cr (over 12% is considered stainless) but the roughly 3% C content causes a lot of the Cr to bond with it to form carbides (which are what does the cutting) instead of protecting from rust.

Now I understand why you need a light knife.
;)
What's the weight you are lifting?
Very impressive!

Thanks John, you seem to really know your stuff when it comes to steel. How easy/impossible is it to remove rust? Due to this fact alone I'm leaning towards picking up an H1 plain edge. I've read several comments of people complaining about the steel being soft, but I honestly don't think I use my knives for anything THAT tough.

Red Mag, that was 600lbs at 181lbs last summer. Since then I've switched to sumo stance and am putting about 50lbs more at a lower body weight.

Hell yes. I actually have 6 different DF2s now, stashed all over my life. I've had my H1 PE clipped to my swim trunks all summer in the pool and it's been really handy. No rust, easy to touch up.
