no judgment. maybe the :barf: was misconstrued as distaste for the knife and those pursuant.
when, in fact, i added it to firm up my BM joke.

Otterbox Defender is still available.

I'd also like to give away these as a set. Anyone can take it,I just ask that you give them to a youngster ( or anyone just starting out). You also have to spend some time with them outdoors ( on your honor). They aren't that great but they mean a lot to me ( the knives ).
the fixed blade was given to me by a friend a few years ago when I started getting interested in fixed blades. the steel is 1045 surgical steel, the handles are ebony. the blade is around 4.5" and the OAL is around 9". it has a deep etch on both sides; a deer track on one side and a stag on the other.
the stockman was given to me by my father. it's made by Colonial. I've heard that they aren't valuable but good quality.
Lastly the slingshot is a Daisy.

Hey, that's a nice lookin fixed blade! 1045, eh? Don't think I've seen that steel in a fixed blade before. How does it hold an edge, if you don't mind my asking?

honestly,I haven't used it enough to tell. I used it once to process some wood for a fire. it held up to batoning just fine. it's near shaving sharp (I can't get any blade much better than that lol)- the sheath is awful though.

I would love to give the wrist rocket to one of my younger nephews, but my sister would HIGHLY object ;). Nice offer!!!

it's crazy trying to figure out what's still up and what's not on here, haha. If that BM 585 is still up, i'd love to give the axis lock a try. never handled one before. I've got a thing or two to put up here come the weekend but I'm at my dorm right now and don't have it with me to check out. This is a great idea guys.

Crazyengineer was looking for a traditional hunting knife, that fixed blade might interest him. He donated an Izula back around the biginning of the thread.
Can I call dibs for him and see if he wants it?

Im not the one giving it away but sounds good and fair to me

And i have never owned a BM or spyderco. But i have and have had fixed blades that are quite amazing!!

ive never owned a BM either. I had a Spydie Tenacious. for about a week and loved it but had to sell it to pay bills. I can't even imagine what a quality spydie or bm feels like.

Claiming something for another participant because you remember they had a need for it and they might not be around now? Well done FullyTorque

If he doesn't need it, back to the thread :)
