Alas, she's not available. For the record though, if I'm just claiming something for a family member and you NEED it more than me, come to me and ask. I'll more than likely pass on it, as with the Vic. Pioneer that went to Mr. Pres..

Precisely, which is why this idea of "keeping score" is not the point of the thread to me. Paying it forward is giving what you have to someone who could use it more and taking what you need. If you give, you'll get something eventually.

Also, im not against asking. How else will we know what our brothers need if they don't ask. Else it could be looked at as the giant giveaway thread.

Its fine the way it is but don't put down on members for asking because that's where the real opportunity to pay it forward comes in.

Im not saying you should plead for a brand new Emerson or benchmade but Chris needs prayers, my tent tore, "my son could use a nice fixed blade this hunting season", ect. are all legitimate shout outs if you ask me.

Since the Mora is not avaiable to pass along to family member, I'll take it if the other guy is not interested and you don't mind. I don't really care what brand/model it is. Full tang, full flat grind, looks good to me. That will suit outdoorsing needs just fine.

I'm carrying it a bit more since I had a Ritter Minigrip that I sold. It's a familiar shape. I like the contego and I was pleased with my trade, but I'm very fond of the gifts I received in this thread. It has certainly cheered me up about a bad situation. Thanks again.
 
OK, it is TRULY unacceptable for NYOutdoors to NOT have a machete, and due to size, I cna't afford to ship another today. Someone HAS TO hook him up! EVERY MAN HAS TO HAVE A MACHETE! So says Lynn Thompson... and me!
 
I'm offering up a couple items in spirit of this thread. I just took therefore I giveth! I do have a stipulation. I request that someone that has given back to the thread AND has not claimed anything recently gets these items. I'll offer them seperate.

Gerber EVO folding knife. One of the first pocket knives I ever bought! It never sees use. Tanto, Combo Edge
SOG Snarl Fixed Blade. Colab with Jason Brous. It's just like his silent soldier except different steel. This has some scratches on the blade but makes for a great neck knife. I also sharpened this one.

 
I agree stvpourciau, it is ok (to me) to request a hunting knife, it is (again to me) not ok to request a para 2 in digicam with a satin blade

You know, strangely enough the digicam and satin combo has a calming effect on non knife folk. I was very surprised, even though that's why I bought it instead of the blacked out version.

Ditto, nor the few dollars it takes to order a tramontina with the bonus option of having it brought up to 42blades standards from baryonyx knife co and have it sent his way..

But if you do, this is what I recommend.
