I sure hope not! That thing is going to be a friggin grail knife for me, at least I hope!

Anyway, I think it will fit my roles well and pretty much has me done as far as knives go in this thread, unless I want to pass one along to someone else in the family etc.

Or if some insanely desireable slip joint comes along or another sak gets passed along, all bets are off on free saks, um still missing the one I conceded to Mr. Pres but that's not for me either. I got a hunter from a username I can't rember right now but its basically everything I could ever want in a good working SAK, in other words, I'm good on blades for myself.

Don't have a quality multititool, but my uncle has been saying he'll give me one. So I think I'm covered.

You need to add Becker to that list of brands you seek.
 
For anyone wondering how this works, offer something for everyone or follow raindog101 or Joe Duder's fine examples above :thumbup:
 
I think I've had good luck with my gifts. They've all gone to people who had good reasons to want the items. To me that's the really purpose of the thread. I've only claimed two things, a sharpener which I need to put even edges on the knives I'm making and a lanyard bead, but I only "wanted" it so I waited a while to ask for that one.
There have been some really nice knives and I've missed some because I was slow. I'm mainly wanting them as something to look at, study, and use for inspiration in the knives I want to make. I'd like to see and feel how they're designed and what works and what I could do differently. And then if I don't think I would really put it to use, pass it on to someone else to admire and use.
Anyway that's why I keep coming to this thread. And it's been really cool to see people happily giving and happily receiving gifts to strangers for no reason other than "because"

It's official name is "Acme Kinda Like a SwitchBlade But Different". I have no idea what brand it is. I payed about $65 for it years ago. It's been a mantel/conversation piece for a while.

Paging Packna45.... I'll give it a few, then I'll just pm him.

I used it enough to get that weird clear coat off the ground edge, so you won't be like "wtf?" when you try to touch it up, like myself.

Sorry it took me so long to post something up guys, it's been a hell of a week and I've been beyond sick. This thread is just one more reason that this forum is the greatest place on the interwebs. I'm proud to be a member. My family could really use some karma right now so I will be posting some things this week as I dig around.

All this talk of bows and archery reminded me that I don't shoot anymore. I have some things laying around some might find useful.

So first up- a Chrony chronograph (measures in fps)

This is a good reliable unit. I mostly used it for paintball but it can also be used with archery, airsoft and guns as well. This is an older unit and it's seen some use, taken a couple slaps from paintballs, etc. but it works. Takes a 9v battery.
