The MASSIVE INCREDIBLE PAY IT FORWARD THREAD - PART DEUX!

I have a son who tends to be hard on pedals, and these could come in handy in the future, BUT we don't need them at the moment. So I'll claim 2nds if that is ok. If someone else speaks up and can use them currently, by all means, have at it.

As promised to the bikers.
Here are is a set of DMR V8 pedals. I rode with them for maybe 10-20hrs offroad so they're far from mint, but not damaged. They're made for MTB riding and are VERY grippy, not recommended if you have a tendency to bang you shins... They're sharp!
Anyway they didn't give me enough clearance on my XC 29er so I would recommend them only to someone with a 26" bike or better yet full suspension.

Please excuse the dirt.

I have got use to getting hit on the shins, I love platform pedals, but man if it spins around and hits you on the shin. What Trek do you ride? I ride a Mamba hardtail. A little different riding here in KS, but I did ride out at Lake Tahoe this summer. My dad and I want to make it out to Utah and Colorado next year.
It's an old Trek 7000 hardtail. I don't ride much anymore which is a shame because I have trails all over the place by my house. Just to busy with work and family.

I would be very sorry to see you go C_K if that is what you decide, i have greatly enjoyed reading your posts and getting to know you. Maybe give it a chance again after a while, this/these thread(s) are overwhelmingly positive. Just my .02

Cutter I wish you the best of luck, I know first hand what a bit** pain meds can be and if they no longer get you high I'm afraid you may already be headed down a long hard road. Not only do I wish you a speedy recovery from your physical ailements but I wish you the absolute sincerity wishes that you are able to deal responsibly with the Rx pain meds and they don't sneak up and grab on.

As for this thread and the last, I had a blast partaking in the giving AND receiving, I thank all of you who also gave and I'd also like to thank the people who took anything I customized, it really makes me feel good that I was able to give what I did and that things I built with my hands were able to help my brother knife nuts out. I'd also like to specifically thank NYOutdoors, MykelM, whetstone39 and fetzer85 on a much more personal level, be it something to do with my father, or some other more in-depth reason you guys are really great people, great friends who I would have never gotten to know if it wasn't for this thread so thank you to Jim for starting it all as well as cutter again for being Jims inspiration.

Having said that I've given all I had and I've taken all I'm comfy taking/asking for so I'm not going to be keeping up with this thread like I did the last. I hope the giving spirit is able to continue and no one gets caught up in greed, I'm afraid some people just joinin in arnt exactly in it for the right reasons (those reasons beig helping others out just because while simply scoring some good karma points for themselves).

Good luck to all of you guys, I'm proud to have been a part of something so great.

This is what I'm talking about. A few of the original posters to this thread have now said they are no longer following this thread because of the actions of a few. We hate to lose you man but I understand where your coming from.

Sorry mate, but it's daft... So, it's all about you, right? Nevermind if we enjoyed your posts in this thread- whether you've given, taken, or just shooting breeze? I say, for all I care, don't put up another damn thing and keep soldiering on- youi'll be an asset, we like having you around. ;)

Really this score keeping is going to ruin this, just dont worry about what others do, Everyone that I have sent something to knows it... most importantly I KNOW IT and to me thats what we are doing this for, its to help others, but it also just feels good to give!

The people that are being greedy, well shame on them, but lets NOT let the greedy people ruin the thread for everyone. We all know who is giving and who is not. But why bother ruining the mood? The person who posted the item can decide weather he wants to send it to someone who keeps taking and not giving. Now it would be one thing when you post an item to pay forward if you say this is for someone who has claimed nothing yet, that would be fine, but calling people out and trying to keep score will be the death of this amazing heart-felt thread.

I like this verse.

Luke 6:30

Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.

This one is good too

Matt 5:40
And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

That's just me though ;)

Yeah, at least stick around for the great company.....:D

And while we are at it, these came to mind.

Just because you are receiving, doesn't mean you are the only one getting blessed. Many times the Giver is more blessed than the Receiver. That is why I rarely down a gift, regardless of situation. I usually do not know the whole story of the giver and their reasons.

"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35

and

No need to keep track, because my rewards and kudos are being tallied elsewhere.

"But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. Matt 6:3-4

Nice to see you guys care about me! That really makes a guy with the user name [cereal_killer] proud to be part of a community who doesn't just write said member off because of his silly name. Thank you guys for actually judging me on me and not a made up [funny] internet forum handle!

I won't be leaving just yet, I still have atlease 4 packages én route to people from the last thread and I'm excited to see their reactions/ pictures once they receive their stuff!

Cereal_Killer, it just lets us know that you have a good sense of humor. Whatever you decided to do, stay cool.

And I like this one

Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Mk. 4.24
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6 ¶ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Hey Cocoa pebble killer, dont leave man. We are here in full support :D

C_K, that's the spirit... ;) I'm also waiting on nickortizzle to say something about the 'bonus' he recieved- he took a lighter of mine (German army issue, AFAIK), and I've sent him a pack of WWII tobbacco I've found it with, so I say to myself f he's into WWII memorabilia, he might appreciate some very rare (and of no value) banknotes so I've shipped them to him just for the fun of it. ;) Now, if he likes it, it will be a huge :D on my face.

Lets be positive, and remember it is about giving 'round here.
