Crazy engineer email sent let me know if you don't get it and lobo I wont be home all day tomorrow as I'm feeling better but if I see somethingc ill snatch it for you haha.

Cutter,
Props to you for the thread inspiration!
How incredible it is that a man with major hurdles in his life still thinks of others!
It would be my honor to pray for you and your family. I happen to be on staff at one of the fastest growing churches in America and if you aren't opposed I would like to share your story on our prayer list.
Keep looking up brother!
Chris

As promised to the bikers.
Here are is a set of DMR V8 pedals. I rode with them for maybe 10-20hrs offroad so they're far from mint, but not damaged. They're made for MTB riding and are VERY grippy, not recommended if you have a tendency to bang you shins... They're sharp!
Anyway they didn't give me enough clearance on my XC 29er so I would recommend them only to someone with a 26" bike or better yet full suspension.

Please excuse the dirt.

Exactly. It's about giving, not just taking.

I just don't think that giving people a hard time is what this thread it about.
If you read the original post, you'll see that there are will be no repercussions if someone doesn't give. It's on them to do the right thing, not on us to try and police everyone. Trust is a powerful thing, you should try it :D

I have pedals like that on my Trek. They do hurt, I've got a few scars on my shins to prove it!

Exactly. It's about giving, not just taking.

So, what are you going to give me? :D

I understand the frustration of some members, but I would urge them to look at it the other way around... They are on the positive side of scales, and should be glad for giving more than taking; some who are not, might still give back more than they've taken and should be not judged too harshly. I, for one, wish somebody would pick up an item of those I put up in 1st page, so when I make a dib for a folder I'd like I don't have to think 'damn, now I'm even... now I have to give to get back into positive side of things'. I really like the idea of giving things, but wouldn't mind getting something. If you know what I mean...

I agree Chris. Sometimes I have the habit of speaking my mind and I know I voice the opinion of a few of us that have been contributing to this thread. Not try to be the police just encouraging a little fairness for others that's all.

Those are nice pedals, I would take them, but I am still having fun beating the crap out of my black ones on my Trek Mamba. Plus it would not go with my bike. I bought a set of those for my mom last Christmas in red which are stylish. I do not know why but it is similar to knives, I like to be styling and look good or at least have my knife look good. (I never look good) lol ;)

I feel the same. I have taken a few and given more than I've taken. If I where to take another item I would immediately post something. That's just how I roll.

Cutter I wish you the best of luck, I know first hand what a bit** pain meds can be and if they no longer get you high I'm afraid you may already be headed down a long hard road. Not only do I wish you a speedy recovery from your physical ailements but I wish you the absolute sincerity wishes that you are able to deal responsibly with the Rx pain meds and they don't sneak up and grab on.

As for this thread and the last, I had a blast partaking in the giving AND receiving, I thank all of you who also gave and I'd also like to thank the people who took anything I customized, it really makes me feel good that I was able to give what I did and that things I built with my hands were able to help my brother knife nuts out. I'd also like to specifically thank NYOutdoors, MykelM, whetstone39 and fetzer85 on a much more personal level, be it something to do with my father, or some other more in-depth reason you guys are really great people, great friends who I would have never gotten to know if it wasn't for this thread so thank you to Jim for starting it all as well as cutter again for being Jims inspiration.

Having said that I've given all I had and I've taken all I'm comfy taking/asking for so I'm not going to be keeping up with this thread like I did the last. I hope the giving spirit is able to continue and no one gets caught up in greed, I'm afraid some people just joinin in arnt exactly in it for the right reasons (those reasons beig helping others out just because while simply scoring some good karma points for themselves).

Good luck to all of you guys, I'm proud to have been a part of something so great.

I have got use to getting hit on the shins, I love platform pedals, but man if it spins around and hits you on the shin. What Trek do you ride? I ride a Mamba hardtail. A little different riding here in KS, but I did ride out at Lake Tahoe this summer. My dad and I want to make it out to Utah and Colorado next year.

Is this SAK still availiable? If so I'll take it!

The Sak is yours. Shoot me an email with your address. FL45acp @ gmail com.

Also I will post a fixed blade later as well. It's a well used Queen just to tease you guys a bit. If anyone has a spare Opinel #8 or 9 I have been wanting to give one a try. Just thought I would put that out there.;)

I totally see where you're coming from. Personally I'm just happy for the opportunity to give to people who appreciate it. Too many times have I given knives and gear to people who lose them, never use them or just don't care.

Do you still have the Preon??? I'd love to take that off your hands for you (; you'll be in my prayers either way!

You have it my friend. Just email me the address and i will get it out. I will let you know when it ships. btw, these are amazing little loghts and I carry one every day!
