I agree that was a great idea. I ended up with one of each. It is nice to have options.

From the G10 I have, I'd say it should be more than fine on a knife this size. For chopping I'd prefer micarta, but really the difference is marginal.

My BIG AMS has a blade 3 13/16" X 31/32" X 5/32". OAL 8 5/16"
