The Mighty Junglas - Can you sell me on it?

If you have all your bases covered then a Junglas will be more of a toy purchase.

I purchased mine for these reasons:

1. I like big knives.
2. I will not be building log homes in the wild.
3. I will not be processing large amounts of wood when I go out.
4. The warranty is great. Not to mention it retains a high resale value.

I have been looking at 100-round barrel clips for my romanian ak-47 (SAR-1, 7.62x39) but they are too expensive. I'd rather have 8 or more 40-round clips for the price.......for zombies of course.

I'm going to take the opposite stance to most of my rat pack brothers here.I find the Junglas to be an excellent bush tool.
I carried mine along with my Izula on a 4 day hiking trip last summer.It processed all of our firewood for 3 nights with no problems.It's far lighter than an axe,saw and machete combination and takes up a hell of lot less room as well.The edge held up really well considering all the wood I chopped up.Mostly hardwood like birch and Maple around 3 inches thick.
Although I did chop a fairly huge log in half with it while I was out there.We wanted to burn the log but save some of it for the next people who might be coming along the trail behind us so I hacked off a 2 foot section of the log.

You don't NEED it, you get it because you WANT it. Holding a ESEE Junglas just feels right, you'll understand when you get it and hold it for the first time.

It's the longest knife I have, in a Kydex sheath. It makes a wonderful noise coming out of that sheath. The sheath really is great, I have other knives of that size, and none have that many options for carry.
I've got another big chopper on order, coming in a leather sheath. It has one belt loop, which is okay, but I can strap that Junglas sheath to anything, and know it's not coming loose.

I think I've been sold on it. I'm going to pick one up as a 'toy' knife. I really like the possibilities of using the MOLLE Front with the sheath it comes with. I can picture it strapped to the MOLLE webbing on a bag of mine with another knife (or bag) piggy-backed onto it. It is gonna be SWEET!!!!! PIGGY-BACKED ESEE BLADES!!!!!

Because he is so against the sale of the Junglas, every time someone buys a Junglas Jeff kills a kitten... which ironically causes a member to sell all their knives, which inevitably includes a Junglas, which causes Jeff to kill another kitten, which causes...

Seriously though, when the Molle Front for the Junglas comes out it's gonna get crazy......PIGGY-BACKED ESEE-4 on the front of the Junglas sheath? That is going to be all sorts of awesome. I like the piggy-backed custom leather sheaths I've seen, being able to do this with what I already have is a huge selling point.

Now I just need to figure out how to piggy-back an Izula on the front of an ESEE-4 set-up and I'd have the triple-mounted ESEE set that jgon (jdon?) did the big write-up on.

I don't need most of what I own. I don't have a Junglas. I would like to have one, but I've been drinking heavily at the Himalyan Imports Cantina. If I bring a Junglas into the house, it'd get jumped by 6 or 7 khukuri. I've had a CS LTC Khuk like knife for almost two decades. It's seen some rough use and it would likely serve me until I couldn't swing it any longer, but i don't always buy things because I need them. Big knives are fun and they help fill a primordeal (sp?) space left empty by too much televion and air conditioning. If one is calling you and you have funds, purchase! If you are single, purchase everything you might want in the future right now! Don't delay. Later, you will have to get permission for such purchases. And that makes that empty space much bigger.
