The Military (or para for some of you) seems to fit the ALMIGHTY category of THE ONE!!! The legendary blade known only to us after a lifetime of buying and using. I'm sure I'll bump into other knives that blow me away in the future, but none of those will take the place of the Millie.
I have to say that I've been very impressed with this knife, and I'm not even that fond of liner locks to begin with. The liner on this knife is outstanding, I'm not going to go stab a 2x4 or anything, but it's plenty to keep the blade in place while I cut stuff.
The blade is excellent and I haven't even touched up the blade yet with a diamond rod. Still shaves hair just fine even after making a bow (home-made and more of a toy), a leather sheath last night, using it for dinner a few times, hacking off the limbs from the bow, making a few arrows, and all of that other fun stuff that I've done in the last 16 days with it.
The handle is lightweight and like no other. It has an excellent grip but doesn't rip up my jeans like my Emerson Commander did. This knife has excellent balance and ergonomics.
It's also very easy to clean in the field. Just blow in the handle and everything falls out. That is a plus for future camping trips .
Anybody else think the Millie or the Para-Military could be "The One?"
