I too have struggled with this question. I have owned a PM and a Millie with serrated edge in the past and they were awesome cutters. I'm expecting a plain edge version of the Millie any day now.
Spydercos are the only knives where I will consider a serrated edge but it must be a full serration, not 50/50.
The PM has a deeper serration than the Millie, and it is a fearsome cutter. If you have a Sharpmaker it is no problem to sharpen. However, serrations can be a problem when it comes to certain jobs, like sharpening a pencil for example.
I tried to get the best of both worlds by having a serrated PM and a plain edge Millie.
If I had to choose just one, I think I would go plain edge now, though those serrations do work great on cheese
