Satin S30V blade, grey G10 handles, grey bolster, grey backspacer, black liner, black screws, black clip, silver axis, and orange pivot ring. Very excited about it! I also bought a custom Mini Grip for a friend’s birthday coming up in September. I uploaded a pic to be placed on the blade so interested to see how that turns out as I’ve only seen wording or stock images done before.

That sounds great. Going black with the liners is gonna look good with the gray.

I was/am a little apprehensive of the black liners, but I’m hoping it’ll look good. Lol we can be friends. After my Mini Crooked River arrives, I’ll even give you my custom full-size Griptilian after you PayPal me some money ;)

I think the black liners will look nice against the gray. If that Grip was 20cv we'd be talking for sure!

I get it. I had a stock Crooked River, sold it at a loss to get go custom. I knew I loved the platform of the CR but didn't like the color scheme of mine and really wanted 20cv. Now, I'm really happy.

What's the turnaround time from the custom shop after placing an order request?

I think I'm going to sell off a PM2 exclusive to fund one of these in 20cv myself. Haven't held the mini but had the regular CR for a bit. Excellent F&F on that knife. I loved its feel in hand, during use, and its looks, but it was a bit larger then I prefer to carry.

I had a similar experience as 3 357snubnose it took about 7 days. UPS ended up having issues in transit that caused it to get to me longer but Benchmade had it built in little less than a week.
 
Wow! I was expecting a month wait on my two customs. I will be super stoked if they arrive after a week. I don’t remember the turnaround time on the two customs I’ve bought previously. I want to say it took about three weeks. But honestly I don’t remember
 
Been hoping the mini would make its way to the custom shop. Held off on buying one because of it. Here is my first-draft build. Found a simple drumstick .png file online for the graphic (I'm a drummer). It's a little boring of an end product, but it's simple and I like it.

That is unfortunate. If you have red then you should have blue. Would have been pretty cool to have gotten a blue pivot color on one side and orange on the other. Go Gators ;) In any case, I was told both my custom knives are finished being made and should be shipping soon. Super excited!

It probably has something to do with keeping inventory in stock. The parts are probably already manufactured so they keep in stock what sales have proven to be good sellers? I am surprised there isn't a blue since that is Benchmade's color and they produce things in blue often.

I'm excited for you Gator. I love my Custom CR!
 
Off the top of my head, a lot of their blue coloured knives have seemed to have been special/limited editions. Outside of the Bugout and custom shop Grip, I personally can't think of any other Benchmades that come with blue handles, G10 or otherwise, on the standard base model. Maybe they're keeping it that way so people have an incentive to buy those limited editions when they come out? I know the blue G10 on the limited edition 319DLC-1801 Proper factored pretty heavily into my purchase.

The -1 Griptilians have blue lining the gray G10. Those are standard production models.

True, I forgot about that. But as for the point that was made earlier by halden.doerge halden.doerge , roughly three knives (one of which only has blue on the inside of the handle for all intents and purposes) out of your entire lineup is exactly what most would consider a variety of knives with blue. It doesn't exactly bug me too much, but again, for those looking for colour, particularly blue, that's not a wealth of options.
