The most hated knife you own.

I have a kabar fixed combat knife bnib that I despise, and evidently so does everyone else. I put it up for trade and got zero response, which makes me hate it even more...

My most hated knife is a Gerber Icon that I have lying around somewhere. It is just a terrible knife. Bladeplay, uncomfortable, poor steel, take your pick. The handle is aluminum with what appears to be melted down tire inlays. it is as close to vomit-inducing as any knife I've come across. Nothing about it works for me.

I have a Gerber Icon that I bought used on ebay for $13 shipped. It has actually turned out to be a pretty solid knife. No blade play and smooth enough to flick open easily, plastic washers notwithstanding. Of course the mystery steel sucks, but for $13 I'll take it. I carry it around to drive nails, pry things, and loan to idiots. It gets the job done. You know, besides holding an edge to cut stuff :D.

A cheap chinese tom brown tracker rip-off from china.

Its ridiculous. weighs a ton. Heavier than my GB wildlife.

Believe it or not, I also have a fair amount of disdain for my buck 184. As a youth this was the knife. I now own 2 and have to say they are heavy, unwieldy and cannot be used when the point are in the handle.

How the hell did the seal team sign off on this....?

Probably the skyline. Stiff when un-lubed and rusts easily. when I did oil it the detent was non-existent and it became a finger cutter. Also hated the cold steel Spartan. Huge blade that's wicked sharp and they put the stiffest lock in the stupidest place possible. Lock needs to be pushed in while your fingers hold the handle for leverage and once it disengages the blade becomes impulsed by the force and closes down as if it's assisted. Both are accidents waiting to happen that's why both are gone.

Lol, good thread topic. I abhor my Kershaw Scallion (Damascus). Its razor sharp, holds its edge forever, and is a handsome blade. But I never carry it and it is still an absolute bear to keep rust off, no matter how much I keep it oiled! I almost want to give it away as I hate seeing it get tiny rust spots and then the perfectionist in me has to grind it off!

I'd like to offer my services to dispose of all of your hated knives. I promise to find them all safe and loving homes where they will be used for years to come.

I have a few Gerbers that are real pieces of garbage, but I like to keep them around to remind me how much I like all my quality knives:)

Knives that I dislike tend to go away. However, I do have this Gerber EZ Out Junior that I am not overly fond of. It lives in the basement and gets used to open bags of cat litter as needed.

Kershaw Talon II. When i sent my Kershaw ET back for repair, they gave me a credit because the ET was discontinued. so I picked the Talon II. when it came in i handled it for about 1 minute and immediately wanted to smash it. i let it sit in my knife box for months before i sold it. i hope whoever bought it likes it as much as i hated it

i have a benchmade 5000 with the auto spring and omega spring broken and i dont have a way to send it in. and i have a cold steel recon 1 new generation with play in all directions. in general if the knife is not made in america it is stuffed in a drawer. i think that POS cold steel is the only non usa made knife i have left.

Kershaw Rainbow Chive. Had to give it to my daughter.

I love Kershaws but that was not a knife that I needed to own.

Gerber Evo Jr- I love the design, but it won't stay sharp for more than about 15 minutes. It must be made from the mystery metal that others have mentioned.

I have quite a few that I'm ok with but the BM Pika was the biggest pos I ever owned. I thought it would made a nice edc and if I lost it no big deal. Ever tried opening one of those pos one handed as designed? Forget it. I had that pos for 2 days and gave it to a non knife nut that thought he died and went to heaven.

I bought a higonokami off ebay for $10... I still can't explain why.

Now it's the most hated knife that my friend owns.

The least favorite knife I own is a Kershaw Vapor Boy Scout edition. No thumb stud and not the greatest blade steel. Was a gift so I can't complain too much but if I had to choose a knife I own and like the least that would be the one.

I've got a SOG Aegis as well as a trident that have left a less than stellar taste in my mouth. I'm not anti synthetic by any stretch, but loath the plasticy feeling handles. Also the blades (AUS-8) which I usually give a grain of respect have left me cold. Seeing as I'm not too terribly big on AO knife either I suppose that's another con as far as personal preference is concerned. I'm not interested in selling them at a loss, so I'll just hang on to them for the heck of it.
