The most pocket time in 2017- Traditionals Only Please

And like Peregrin Peregrin it was my trapper. If you get a Lloyd @Will Power and you won't regret it.

It's funny what happens, even when you own a whole bunch of knives; what actually ends up being the one you choose to carry. I bought probably half dozen pocket knives over the last 12 months or so. Buck, Case and so forth. I picked up a Buck Companion 309, mostly just to fill out my Buck "Black" accumulation. Turns out that the 309 is probably my most reached for pocket knife. I never would have thought that I would get so attached to the little thing. I've got SAKs, Case bone Stockmans, Trappers, Peanuts, Lockbacks of all kinds, and yet that little 309 seems to ride to work or fishing nearly everyday. Many of us search for "The One" that we will attach to, and hope to pass on one day to the next generation. Unless something else comes along and catches my eye, this 309 is tucked safely away in my watch pocket and I've got TOO many Knives.

My Buck 501 has been my most carried. I have a 110 on my belt most days, but I switch between a couple of them. The standard version 501 has pretty much been a constant companion. When I don't have it I just feel off....

Have really enjoyed carrying my Arthur Wright Lamb foot, having treated myself to it following a difficult year at work. Great to have something rubust and of good quality to carry, particularly on days when hard work is expected. My trusty small rough rider stockman has continued to be my first choice for light duties and edc, despite more expensive, prestigious options, because I just like it and it does everything I expect of a knife of its type. An old companion also went back on my key ring this year. I acquired this one from my boss when I first started work as a builder's labourer. I used to borrow it for cutting the plastic bindings from stacks of bricks, blocks and roof tiles. some time after I eventually left this job I found it in the pocket of one of my old work coats. I honestly didn't mean to steal it but never got the opportunity to give it back so I continued to carry it and it gave me many years of good service despite being something that I think originally may have came out of a Christmas cracker. That was just over thirty years ago now...funny how these things take on memories. Happy Christmas to everyone on the forum. :)

I'm not surprised:cool: If I had a Shadow like that, it would follow me everywhere:D No more need for any Christmas or birthday presents eh? o_O

I need one of those Lloyds........;)

Thanks, Will
You wouldn't be disappointed, Will. I change up once in awhile in an attempt to justify my ownership of sooo many knives!

I change up the larger knife depending on what I will be doing that day (and to justify as you say), but always have a little two blade pen knife from Sheffield in my back pocket.

This question is easily answered. The last year my most carried knife was my Good Old Favorite GEC #66 Serpentine Jack.
I´m with kamagong... every other knife / other knives I ever recieved are just some kind of backup. The Serpentine Jack seems to find its way from itself into my pocket.

I agree wholeheartedly. I didn't mention my pinched peanut that is always with me. I've only had it for a few months. So I didn't think it would qualify.

Great thread! Pocket time in 2017 for me boils down to pretty much 4 knives. First half of 2017 goes to the GEC Spring Green 74 Stallion, and Bloodwood 48. My beautiful Cocobolo Stallion , 48 Diamond Jacks, and Improved trapper are all sleeping beauties in their tube-cocoons...for now.:D

For the second half of 2017, I gotta hand it to the Forum TC Barlow, and the GEC 35 Churchill. The Forum Barlow, being clad in Micarta wants to do all the work, and let a couple other TC's to enjoy their safe-queen status. The Churchill just might become a permanent resident in my LRP.:cool:

I remember when you got this knife. It was the catalyst for my purchasing a 66 jack. I only have one now - the rotten banana bone knife that 5 of us in this forum have owned over the years since I've been involved here. Since Photobucket went stupid, I don't know what I'm going to use to substitute. Glad to see you still use it. I hope you are doing well.

Ed, I have found Imgur to be a fine replacement for PB.
